The BWFC twitter's been digging out goals vs Millwall and it's been a right parade of names. It's like going back through time, or perhaps that bit before you die and think "Christ, that was shit". Here they are, in reverse-chrono order before the internet runs out (last game before this was 1995):

Fil Morais
Tom Thorpe
Josh Vela
David Wheater
Sammy Ameobi
Adam le Fondre (2)
Darren Pratley
Lukas Jutkiewicz
Andre Moritz
Jermaine Beckford
Rob Hall
Keith Andrews (p)
Chris Eagles
David N'Gog
Ryo Miyaichi

Who'll add his name tomorrow?
Good grief. Ryo Miyaichi.

In not completely unrelated news I saw tonight that Tyrone Mears is somehow playing for West Brom these days.

We're playing today against a keeper somehow deemed worse than Ben Amos. If we don't score today we never will.

2-1 (L).

In preparation for today's trip to the Land Before Time I'm listening to Shack, watching Mr Blobby videos and writing this on dial-up internet.

Best keepers in the world get beaten sometimes. More concerned about some attack, aggression and shots on goal. Do that and we'll be in there with a shout and it won't matter if they have a combination of De Gere and Tiger Komich. We're due.......COME ON YOU WHITES.... :oyea: :oyea: :oyea:

Can't make it, I've a funeral to attend. Suitably wintry day. Let's hope that hope isn't buried too.

We've only lost twice there in 30 years. The first time we responded by winning at Goodison Park, the second time we responded by sacking the manager. Neither is likely this time, but let's hope we don't test the thesis.

Alnwick, Olkowski, Wheater, Wilson, Beevers, Taylor, Lowe, Williams, Buckley, Ameobi, Magennis

It's either a 3-4-3 with Olko and Taylor as wingbacks (!) or maybe he's playing Wilson in (defensive?) midfield - which could be as a 2 in the 4-2-3-1 (presumably WIlliams pushed on) or at the back of a 4-3-3

Intriguing, anyroad

Have to say I hate that side. Taylor isn't suited to a left sided role in a 3-4-3 imho, and RWB doesn't suit Olkowski either.

Anyway I hope Parky has pulled off a tactical masterstroke. COYW.

But for Murphy(Wilson) and Vela(Williams), same team that beat WBA away.

He's gone back to basics. 5-4-1.

Expect lots of defending and the occasional break.

It's weird. I hope it's not 3-4-3, but that must (?) mean Wilson in midfield, alongside Lowe - who habitually sits practically on the toes of our centre-backs - with Williams the other member of the triumvirate, however they line up.

Like you, I hope it works, but it's odd. Maybe Wilson will be an inspired addition. But it all feels a bit like Freedman playing Tim Ream in central midfield at Fulham. Again: immediately after that dispiriting London defeat, Bolton sacked the manager.

Interesting. That would be further back to basics - or at least back to the wall - than I can recall him going. I mean, that's half your team standing watching attacks.

Hmmm unless it is a 4-2-3-1 with Wilson in defensive midfield as I have just noticed DSB said. That would be better...

Should be able to tell in the warm-up, whether or not Wilson does the defensive warm-ups (charging up and heading the ball out, etc)

Sorry I am behind the posting times, but yes it is odd does have the hallmarks of desperation. I hope it is 4-2-3-1with Wilson in midfield, but that doesn't look like a particularly dynanic midfield even then with Wilson, Lowe and Williams...

Once again he picks his team according to the opposition, and once again I think it will backfire.

Talk is also cheap from PP, once again. Midweek he suggested bringing into the fold players who have been left out, and while Wilson is in the team, Little is again absent from the bench and Doidge is left to be a million pound bench warmer again.

If it's another horrible defeat today, I'm afraid it's time for PP to go for me. Can't cope with it much longer.

4-5-1 with Wilson in midfield.

Iles seems as confused as we are, but his last entry reads:
Marc Wilson NOT warming up with the defenders... #bwfc
Followed by:
That being the case... We're 4-2-3-1 again with Williams playing further forward?

Just have to be a watching brief for now. We just have to push up and attack. Reading a comment from one of their players, they're very confident of beating us. Mind you, sitting where we are in the table, that's a bit N.S.S to say the least. Time to bring a shock or two into play. COME ON LADS, GET IN THERE...... :oyea: :oyea: :oyea:
