Beg, steal & Boro (H) 9.4.19 KO 8pm
Just when you think things can't get any worse, you realise your next match is against a Tony Pulis side. A man with a well deserved reputation for producing functional, pragmatic and occasionally successful sides who makes Big Sam look like a proponent of tikki taka.
No news yet of the fixture being in doubt but one wonders if we can afford to turn the floodlights on and corporate customers will be on reheated pies like the rest of us. By kick off time we'll know whether we're looking at a 2 window transfer embargo too. Take over news seems less likely.
They come to us on the back of an horrendous run with their promotion hopes fading fast. For us, this is likely to be our penultimate game before relegation is confirmed.
3-3 draw. A swashbuckling performance by both sides that's a feast for the senses.

Boro are in free fall and they all want Pulis gone. So obviously they'll win 3-0.

I'd love to hear the players talking with nobody else present. My real worry is obviously for the club, the players will come and go as ever, but right now it must be pretty grim being a Bolton player. Whoever thought that would happen ever again? The damage done to our reputation and pride is horrendous.

Its grim but they all know they'll be paid eventually (by the PFA if we fold) and will likely all get other clubs. Not good ones like I reckon some of this lot would struggle for regular games in league one let alone the championship. But whilst I've no doubt they aren't in a good place - the people I feel sorry for are the staff. People who have worked for the club for decades because they love it. Who are driven to despair. Some days some of the staff are in floods of tears because it all gets too much. That is just not acceptable. They are people who want to make things better but being told to wind things down, keep quiet and not get in the way.TANGODANCER wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2019 9:39 amI'd love to hear the players talking with nobody else present. Why would you take her to a Bolton match? Do you not like her or something?

Well, they've lost six on the bounce for the first time in 20 years, so we'll soon put that right for them!
May the bridges I burn light your way

Tend to agree with that, we usually are the gift that keeps giving to teams in a rut.Bruce Rioja wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2019 8:49 pmWell, they've lost six on the bounce for the first time in 20 years, so we'll soon put that right for them!

Parky reckons we weren't prepared for Ipswich and that why we lost. Are we prepared for Boro and can the players afford to eat? Will the I.T fail and have the pies come?

Meanwhile, at the arena of hope and glory, the Unibol, the Boro players have been allowed into
the dressing room on condition they sit quietly and don't switch any lights on or plug their i-phones, gameboys or tablets into sockets inside the ground. In the background the Beatles warble away happily "Money can't buy me love" and somebody has taped a picture of King Canute on the Chairman's office door. To create an aura of competitive endeavour, Parky has organised a "Stone, Paper, Scissors" competition amongst the Superwhites and training will begin at 7-O'clock on the car-park in order not to spoil the grass in case any perspective bidders for the club arrive early.
The teams will be announced presently.

Who really cares at this point?
At least Connell is getting some game time.
