Alnwick > Matthews
But yeah, get a fee FFS! Palace are cheeky bastards...haggle for months over an uncapped right back and complain about not quite good enough for the top 4 Zaha being low balled!

Also, what's the point of accepting an 'appearance based structure' for someone who'll be a third choice keeper? Taking the piss.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Fri Jul 05, 2019 8:54 amAlnwick > Matthews

I believe there is a link between Palace / Matthews and BWFC. I think he shags an ex page 3 bird, wears his BWFC ‘merch’ In public and likes to get mentions on twitter...when the going is good.

Palace owe us for palming that blonde-haired useless c*nt off on us, and Dougie, and that Irish midfielder who was shit on toast, and for 'God's Gift to us' and for nicking Chungy. nice people!

He's on the ball. All that excitement, and not a single name!
In other exciting breaking news:
LLS@unreluctanttwat
Unlikely to be any conclusion on our next prime minister tonight. A request to Corbyn about the shambles of his party also brought about a hearty 'no comment'.
But I am told recruitment has gone up a notch. Ministers offered from back benches, Lords, and DUP, all of whom can move swifter than a snake through grass.

Wheater set to sign for Salford City - who, judging by the FourFourTwo season preview I'm editing, are just about the country's least popular team.

Yeah feck Salford and I cannot believe Wheater is going there. We really, really could have done with him this season ...Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Wed Jul 10, 2019 9:29 amWheater set to sign for Salford City - who, judging by the FourFourTwo season preview I'm editing, are just about the country's least popular team.

We've either got bigger/greater ambitions for moving on or we're worse off than we think. For what he would cost us, some very bad judging letting him go to a pub team if it's the latter. (Greyhounds, ice hockey, rugby and speedway are all Salford have ever been known for.) If the former, then hope must be rising. Right now it seems like a mistake...time will undoubtedly tell.Jugs wrote: ↑Wed Jul 10, 2019 12:31 pmYeah feck Salford and I cannot believe Wheater is going there. TD - at the minute this is as simple as we cannot offer Wheater a contract. It doesn't matter whether we want to keep him or not. Its the second week of July and someone like Wheater with a family can only wait so long.

Funnily enough, I think I might have gathered that. Surely it's about time somebody thought about football because we're not going to get a team from the Dog and Duck playing for a crate of pasties (always providing we pay Carrs in time of course) and we are in League One. Unless we make some positive move soon, Hulton Lane and Moss Bank await.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Wed Jul 10, 2019 2:45 pmTD - at the minute this is as simple as we cannot offer Wheater a contract. Re: Onwards and Downwards: 2020 transfer speculation thread.
The process of administration cannot be short cut - this was always the problem. Nobody has it in their power to suddenly force the creditor agreements. It is a process that has to be completed before the rest can happen. That is indeed unfortunate. But lets be clear - the only person at fault here is Ken Anderson. Had he put the club into admin in March we'd not be in this position at all.TANGODANCER wrote: ↑Wed Jul 10, 2019 2:54 pmFunnily enough, I think I might have gathered that. Unfortunately football and everything else is on hold whilst legalities are dealt with. There is no way around it.

^^ They can "think about" football all they like - unfortunately they can't actually act on much. For all we know they may have had a conversation with Wheats to discuss keeping him and possible terms. Bottom line is, he's not been paid for months and promising that something may transpire soon doesn't usually hold much water with the Bank.

Re: Onwards and Downwards: 2020 transfer speculation thread.
^^ Exactly. And even if they had a discussion with Wheater - he doesn't know them - he doesn't know whether they will even succeed in buying the club or offer him a contract. Versus a potential concrete offer elsewhere....
I'm sure he has waited - hoping for an outcome. But as days tick by he can't live off promises if he's even had as much as that.

He seems to be the bloke that ultimately took Rushden and Diamonds over the precipice (although how much of that was directly to do with him, I've no idea)
