I wish I'd never left Bolton...v Blackpool H. 8-0 clock 7-10-19.
Visit of a couple of old boys as the waft of candyfloss fills the evening air at the Unibol. Is this time for a landmark win?

New kit tonight. Be glad to see the back of the jinxed no sponsor no win hummel Jersey.
Hoping for a good game.
Liam Feeney is going to be one to watch. More assists than most in all the leagues this season.

Jinxed kit...our last kit with a sponsor hardly brought success.
Just want to see a good game, good performance and spirit - a re-run of the Sunderland game would be great. Right now results are secondary to building a good feeling up around the place.

Really? I reckon a few result wins will be the key to a good feeling and definitely not glorious losses. Lost six, drawn three, won none is hardly effervescent fare. We have to turn the tide sometime, we've been whipping boys long enough. Remember Stanley Mathews? .............COME ON YOU WHITESBWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Mon Oct 07, 2019 10:43 am

Really. I am normally results first. But we're not in a normal position. We're effectively down already. We've put a side together weeks into a season.TANGODANCER wrote: ↑Mon Oct 07, 2019 11:05 amReally? I reckon a few result wins will be the key to a good feeling and definitely not glorious losses. Clearly we have to try and win some games this season and build for next season. I think we can see that when they are fit and firing this group will win some games in this league. But to an extent its a little academic. I'm going tonight hoping to see a good performance and progress. If we win then that would be great. But I think the real results stuff will have to start next season.

Are you suggesting TD should have gone with "New Kits On The Bok" for this thread?

They can play in their scruds for all I care. Would love to see us bag our first three points tonight. Certainly not expecting it though.

Always liked Liam.
Here's another stat: before the weekend game, only Man City (14) had scored more first-half goals this season than Blackpool's 12. However, whereas City have scored 13 after the break, the seaseaseasiders have only scored 4. Their concession rate seizes right up, too: from 9 to 4. So? So add in our still-questionable fitness, and it all points to a first-half ding-dong. I'm sure we'll be going all-out to get in front and stay in front rather than "growing into the game", and so it seems will Blackpool, who've scored 5 in the first 15 minutes (and 5 in the quarter-hour running up to half-time). So whether you're at the match, on the sofa or in the pub, get yersen settled in sharpish...

Feeney was hugely under-appreciated while he was here, despite being one of our better players at the time.
Anyway, there have been a few crackers against Blackpool at home in recent years. Would love another classic tonight - 3-2 Bolton!

Blackpool have sold their allocation. Good work from them. Also means you can now only buy a home ticket if you have "history".

Blackpool have sold out their 2,100 allocation. Should be a great atmosphere. 4-3 to us would be a nice touch.

Meanwhile, here's a quiz for you. Can you name the last Wanderers to host the Tangerines in the league? I'll be impressed if you can.

Wycombe hosted them last season.

I have absolutely no recollection of the midfielder who went off after 46 minutesDave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Mon Oct 07, 2019 12:24 pmMeanwhile, here's a quiz for you. Can you name the last Wanderers to host the Tangerines in the league? I'll be impressed if you can.

13. All 7 of the bench and only 6 of the starting XI!

I doubt there'll continue to be a good feeling around the place if we don't win fairly soon. That might be unfair, but it is likely to be the reality.
