All this is just proving that there are some really mean, devious,self-serving folk out there and the season of goodwill doesn't include the Unibol. Just how many axes are out there with any valid reason to wish us ill? (Doncaster not included as they already declared war on us.)They'll all talk loftily about it being the principal of the thing that matters (add as many shades of bollox as you wish here) while meaning anything but and obviously would love to see us hung, drawn and put through the mincer. What happened to the "all pull together" in the common good of the sport attitude that sympathised with Bury only weeks ago?

Like the Vicar said as he padlocked the gates of the church grounds against travellers, "Christianity stops at twelve caravans.!"

Ask Bury how many there are.

And they're no fecking better. Supporters on their forum saying we should be either kicked out too or deducted another 12-18 points.

All this football family bollocks is just that. 3/4 of the EFL spending beyond their means yet becoming all pious when it suits em.

Feck the lot of em

Farce. I still think we end up "up" here. Can't see any appeal doing more than "unsuspending" the 5 and that's fewer than almost anyone expected. And I reckon worst case realistically they'll only unsuspend the 3 for Doncaster (which we can make back by stuffing the self-pitying c*nts. Oh woe is me, please do tell how the EFL have fecking shafterld YOU?! You will get much sympathy from the BL postal area.).
It goes to a different commission. So anything can happen. But then presumably Bolton will appeal that - so it goes round and round.
I don't mean they can't do anymore than that but I think it's highly unlikely on an appeal, just human nature.

Written reasons will be interesting. Interested to know what the standard on appeal is, too.

Do they simply remake the decision from scratch or do they just consider whether the first one was flawed. Hopefully it works like an appeal in the courts would and the new panel works on the basis of the factual scenario set out by this one.
Given the whole process has zero transparency I wouldn't be surprised if the EFL just keep passing it around till they get the decision they want. Suspect the final panel to see this will be John Aldridge, Barry Knight and the Doncaster Chairman.

EFL - I now fully believe are not only incompetent but entirely corrupt. They've operated a ridiculously long and non-transparent process and months after even the most useless organisations would have reached a decision we still waited- then got it and now they're appealing their own panel.

Debbie Jevans - you're bent love. And you're running a corrupt, bent scandalous organisation.

If the Supporters Trust had a single thing about them they'd use their "fighting fund" to take the EFL to task for a) Harvey's comments and general behavior re Ken Anderson and b) Harvey's text messages to Bassini. Go on Supporters Trust do something useful for once.
I'm onboard with most of this.

It's just pathetic, it really is.

EFL are just a shambles, they really are. You knew it wasn't the end result because we got GOOD NEWS guys!! #bwfc don't get good news without bad news soon following.
We will deal with whatever anyone throws at us. :Jedi:

Do we still have a BWFC Supporters Trust ?, I've not heard anything from them since FV took over.

People are correct, this is now something that they should be getting involved in big time - but we all know they won't, the BWFC ST are an absolute pathetic shambles, run by know nothing, do nothing individuals, until a TV camera shows up....

So have any of them ( the howling jackals) actually asked what exactly is our sin? Should we write them a letter explaining?

We had no money, no owner, a transfer embargo,no players and just a couple of unpaid for months veterans and a bunch of kids, so we said so and couldn't play two games of football at the scheduled times. That's it. One cost us 12 points (do you hear that you Donkers, 12 lost points as a punishment in addition to getting hammered by those we did play,) and the other game will still be played but because it now isn't against a sadly weakened side who Doncaster can look superior by putting five goals past a Sunday pub league team of kids, they want us punished by adding more points against. The E.F.L appoint a committee to sort it all out, reach a decision fining us five more points ( okay, suspended) then appeal that their own sentence isn't heavy enough? Does that about sum it up? And should we beat the Donkers, how hysterical will the outragerati become. Do they want three points to them without playing us and a further three deducted from us as punishment?

Well done lads, all in the best traditions of the game, what?

Worst case we end up with 3 down 2 suspended I reckon. Still better than most of us hoped for and in the meantime a siege mentality.
Best case it's upheld and the EFL is totally revamped due to the spanking we've handed them and Shaun Harvey comes out in hives

I must say Tango is playing a blinder here. :D
Summing up the squealing hypocrisy of it all nicely and right fuming too! Splendid.

I'm also enjoying the increased level of bonhomie and togetherness on the forum now that we all have a common enemy...er, the rest of the league.

Almost feels like older happier times might be back on the way.

The rearranged game is going to need extra police at this rate. The EFL have stirred things right up. It's now obvious that they think the only punishment that is acceptable is relegation to League 2.

I'm assuming that the appeal will take a while maybe into next season if we appeal the appeal decision. If that's the case they may be liable for lost revenue should we be relegated with a further deduction.

Really irks me as had we been given a 3 point deduction we'd have taken it on the chin and drawn a line under the entire debacle.

Normally if an appeal is frivolous a harsher penalty is awarded so how would this go if the independent panel tell the EFL to feck off? No fine? Award 3 points?

Here's to another few months of uncertainty. Such a bollocks organisation. That poor cow up top has taken on a right load of bollocks.

Hope the club go for costs if the EFL lose the appeal.

If a decision is appealed the points can’t be taken off till that is resolved.

It would be interesting to see if Wycombe, Ipwich or Coventry (a couple of others) were in our shoes, just how many of the bargain basement heroes would be making the same howls of disapproval and calling for blood? We have three games in hand, granted, but are currently on 1 point. Wycombe are on 36. Same rules of engagement?

I'd be interested to know how many of these livid chairmen have ever delayed a payment to players, and are just wondering if they can cover their sorry arses by crucifying us. Not just for the sake of the league table, which won't affect too many of them - more to dissuade the uppity staff from wielding the working class's greatest threat: withdrawal of labour. It's not just the EFL who want to stop players thinking strikes are a plausible negotiation tool; so to do the owners who so often fail to pay them.

No doubts left now; an awful lot of venomous enmity exists against little old Bolton out there in money-land. All those two-faced devious, deceitful so-called sympathisers pretending friendship when we were on bread and water levels and totally skint, now want to kick us back in the gutter and for what? It couldn't possibly happen to them, could it? Were we still losing every game 5-0, would the "victims" be quite so aggressive? We got punished, how many times does that need to happen for the same crime? Well, at least we'd know who our fiends might be, if we had any that is. Utterly disgraceful behaviour from so-called sportsmen who pretend their beef is with the E.F.L when it's actually with us. Xxxxards, all of them.

Sheffield Wednesday - https://www.swfc.co.uk/news/2019/decemb ... statement/

I know the circumstances are entirely different but the lines about what the club has in possession from the EFL (no doubt that lying prick Shaun Harvey involved) are interesting. I would love to see us go down a similar route with evidence as to what we tried to do with our cancelled fixtures - EFL far from the innocent party in all this.

https://www.efl.com/news/2020/january/e ... on-upheld/
An arbitration panel has upheld the original decision in respect of the sanctions handed to Bolton Wanderers following their guilty plea in November 2019 to charges of breaching EFL Regulations for failing to meet fixture obligations.

The panel considered the original verdict of a sanction of five points, suspended for 18 months, and a financial penalty in light of the submitted appeal by the EFL, and concluded that the decision taken was proportionate given the mitigating circumstances the Club has faced over the extended timeframe.

While disappointed with the verdict, the EFL respects the decision taken.

Discussions will now continue with EFL Clubs to formalise a scale of sporting sanctions for breaches of relevant EFL Regulations, relating to non-payment of debts and non-fulfilment of fixtures, in future.
feck the EFL.....
