Re: Summer 2020 transfers
From the (admittedly) little I’ve seen of him, Brockbank doesn’t really strike me as a wingback type and I get the feeling he doesn’t fit the mould of an Evatt CB, he’s tidy enough on the ball but nowhere near physically. I’d be very surprised if he features much, if at all, this season.sonicthewhite wrote: ↑Thu Aug 06, 2020 5:11 pmHmmm A RB? We already have an RB in Brockers. I wonder if Evatt doesn't rate Brockers to adapt in to a wingback yet fancies Hickman capable of playing there? we shall have to wait and see I suppose. This does feel like Brockers will be going out on loan though

We probably offered more money and he asked the Pool to cancel his contract. Either that or he just told them to cram it up their crimper!

After all these years of seeing his name crop up here n there, does this mean I now have to work out how it's pronounced? Another striker to add to the party - I've no idea how this group of players will turn out on the pitch, but I can't fault the way we've been going about our business.

Re: Summer 2020 transfers
I'm actually excited now by how our strikeforce lines up. The Fox Doyle with the pacy attacker Del Monte. Doyle will get plenty of scraps from his partners direct running. I reckon another ST (or 2) and we might just be good to go.
I was actually surpised that Del Monte is only 29yrs old Seems like he's been around for decades.

There is no way on gods earth that Brockbank is a suitable wingback.sonicthewhite wrote: ↑Thu Aug 06, 2020 5:11 pmHmmm A RB? We already have an RB in Brockers. Never really been keen on Delfounso he has ability but only occasionally translates it into end product. He’s very hit and miss. But interesting to see how he translates into league two. Pace and power up front are useful and with Doyle it might just be a magic partnership.

Re: Summer 2020 transfers
Absolutely not. But would be well suited to the right side of the back three, IMO. I think there's going to be a lot of squad rotation this year, given the compressed season and the cups, so he should see a lot of game time - and there's a lot of people seemingly wanting to cast him aside in favour of Santos or Greenidge. New toy syndrome?BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Thu Aug 06, 2020 6:13 pmThere is no way on gods earth that Brockbank is a suitable wingback.sonicthewhite wrote: ↑Thu Aug 06, 2020 5:11 pmHmmm A RB? PS I'm not saying Del Monte is anywhere near as good as Super John, just for the record

I think I’m boarding HMS piss the league before it leaves port
Missed the Hickman one as well...that’s some mistake - you have to hope he’s learned. Delfonso is a belting signing IMO.

Alex Baptiste is still around too. We’ve got Taft, Santos, Greenidge, Delaney already....if we sign Baptiste as well....truewhite15 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 06, 2020 6:20 pmAbsolutely not. Personally I think Brocky may be one who goes out on loan. We will see.
