Closed Doors - Episode One: The Bantam Menace - Bradford C (H), 3:00pm, 05/09/20 (League Cup)

Post by TonyDomingos » Thu Sep 03, 2020 3:09 pm

Let's get this party started!

Dennis Politic (knee), Liam Edwards (knee) and Muhammadu Faal (foot) out, but Reiss Greenidge is available.

Evatt says:

"When we play against a team we’ll identify strengths and weaknesses and pick players accordingly. The team on Saturday will be the right one to beat Bradford but does that mean that it will be the same team on Tuesday night, no it doesn’t.”

1-0 to us.

You've outdone yourself with that title, well done

Will be an interesting one, this, if both sides are going for it. We should dominate the centre of the park, they have good wingers with plenty of tricks.

If we can mark Lee Novak properly we should win. If he finds space we'll probably struggle.

2-1 win for Evatt. Eoin Doyle making a point and grabbing at least one.

Looking forward to it. Sitting on the fence and predicting a draw...through on pens!

iFollow sorted. Beers, crisps and nervous anticipation on the side.

The thread title is as good as it gets though. A slow start and a 1-3 defeat sadly.

Excellent title, hope the football is better than the film it references!

My claim to fame is that I've never seen any of the Star Wars films (nor have I ever listened to any of the Beatles' albums).

Have I feck, no. Surely the shittest film title of all time! Phantom Menace? Is that like when you think you can hear the distant buzzing of a house fly? Hardly instills terror, does it?!

You say yes, I say no
You say stop and I say go, go, go
You say goodbye and I say hello
I don't know why you say goodbye
I don't know why you say goodbye
I say high, you say low
You say why and I say I don't know
You say goodbye and I say hello
I don't know why you say goodbye
I don't know why you say goodbye
(Hello goodbye)
Do you say goodbye?
Goodbye, bye, bye, bye, bye
You say goodbye and I say hello
I don't know why you say goodbye
I don't know why you say goodbye
You say yes
(But I may mean no)
And I say go, go, go
(Til it's time to go)
You say goodbye and I say hello
I don't know why you say goodbye
I don't know why you say goodbye
I don't know why you say goodbye I say hello
Hela, goodbye hello
Hela, goodbye hello

If I were Chapman I'd have waited for them to re-unite, so I could have shot all fecking four of them.

I bought my match pass. Apparently the max def for the stream will be 720p which is disappointing. I'l probably watch it on my laptop instead of the TV. First world problems and all that.

Is the code I need on the email? The one from EFL Digital? Is it the purchase ID?

Regrettably the official site indicates that Australia is not on the approved list for o'seas iview viewers. A shame really, but beggars can't be choosers. :conf:

Honestly not sure. I had assumed it would just work with my account automatically.

Use a VPN? Seems a bit obtuse that we can’t sell this game abroad!

Maybe because it’s standard for so long but despite how long it’s been and everything that has changed I can’t shake the impending doom of kick off. Revised prediction of a defeat here! Be a while before we click I think.

I'm the same. Think we've got that ingrained losing mentality that Ghost and TD and others were discussing.
Rather than helping, quotes like this from Evatt make me cringe a bit. Would prefer he kept a bit of a lid on it until he's won some games.

“I have to win. I am addicted to winning. We want to win every game this season – we probably won’t, but we’ll try. I don’t fear anything."

Still, at least we've not got Graham “My kids don’t call me dad, they call me Medal Winner.” Westley!!

Anyway bring it on this afternoon, may he be even better than he tells us. :oyea:
