In the absence of anything better to do I am also in. Don't care for this competition, but I am very interested to see how Darcy, Senior and Lockett perform.

If anyone could shed some light on what positions the youngsters on the bench, Conway, Tweedley, Le Fondre and Riley play that would be much appreciated. The official website just lists them as midfielders.

Riley is listed as a CM on FM20 but he's the only one on there, but seeing as Jordan Boon is valued at 2M after a couple of seasons managing Bolton I shan't be putting all my faith into its accuracy

Not a clue, Brommers. I wouldn't know these lads from the ones who were laughing at us flolloping about a Powerleague pitch last night. Get to my age and they all look the same: all sharp hair and sharp faces.

For those of us (me then :) ) who're still struggling on the who's-who front, would one of you more knowledgeable types care to put that little lot into some sort of position order please? :)
May the bridges I burn light your way

I tried, with semi-colons (below). Let's see if it's a back three or four.

Crellin;
Senior, Delaney, Taft;
Hickman, White, Comley, Gordon;
Darcy;
Gnahoua, Lockett.

But it could be anything! :mrgreen:

I got to the payment page before deciding that I wasn’t interested enough in seeing our youngsters to shell out for a glorified friendly. Anyway, I hope some of the young lads impress and we don’t pick up any injuries (particularly to Hickman).

If you switch to Home commentary, you get no commentary at all, which is quite nice

Shrewsbury's tactic appears to be "belt it to the right winger we borrowed off Spurs"

Might be the fact the majority of both teams are quite young but Josh Vela looks like he's found the pie shop.

Not much to report from first ten minutes. More them than us. Definitely a back three, but a fairly fluid front three - Darcy leftish, Lockett middle, Gnahoua rightish.

Heh. Might explain why he's just been a minute late and a yard high tackling Gordon.

1-0 them. Taft's fault. Awful sideways ball toward Delaney, not near enough, picked up and picked off.

very nearly 1-1. Gordon hit the byeline, across the six-yard line for Gnahoua whose shot was well-saved.

How did he not score there?! Glorious chance for Gnahoua from 6 yards out after great work from Liam Gordon

Slightly more of a 3-4-3, as noted - Darce leftish.

Ooh, pengy to us!

Gnahoua wins a softish pen, White takes, tries the "skip", hits the post, corner. Bah.

Goalkeeper guessed correctly as well, which is the entire reason players like Jorginho and Bruno Fernandes do that - to see which way the keeper's going. Oh well.

To give White credit, he's not let it affect him. Just clipped a lovely lobbed ball through for Gordon, but he was, as ever, offside.
