We've got one full back and one winger.

Aye, and he sounds like he would be a big upgrade, but potentially with some off-field issues. Anyway, him and Lee would be a good start for us in this window. A pacey loan striker would be a nice addition as well.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Sun Dec 20, 2020 9:44 amLeft back from Swindon training with us apparently. Big fecking tick!

We've got one of these, but they're a bit broke, I suspect might be recurring in January, outside of any loan possibilities. You'd have to think most free agents at this point are in the Closing Down Sale (Starts Boxing Day) category for a reason.

Swansea have rejected a loan request for left wing back Declan John.
Re: Making HMS YouKnowWhat ship-shape: Winter 20/21 transfer thread
Interesting. If true, then perhaps it was rejected due to wage contributions?
Edit: Thinking about it more, I’d guess his wages would be way out of our reach. He’s only 25 and has played seven games for Wales.

Are we even allowed to pay loan wages under embargo?
Re: Making HMS YouKnowWhat ship-shape: Winter 20/21 transfer thread
Unsurprisingly I have no idea. Perhaps Iles will shed some more light on this one in the BEN.

I may be getting confused with the ban on embargoed clubs paying loan *fees* (as well as transfer fees, obvz). But it may be that we can't pay loan wages either.
Hypothesising here but if you think of our three loanees: Crellin and White will be on very low wages that their parent clubs won't mind footing, while Kioso - playing for (with respect) a small tier-two club and signed from non-league - is hardly likely to be on a million a day.
In all three cases the parent club would easily conceivably have been happy to foot the bill in order to develop their player (Blackburn perhaps wondering whether to cut their losses when White's contract there ends in June). The question in reverse is whether we would do that next month with some of our not-ready lads. Looks like we've already done it with Liam Gordon, for a start.

I think they think they can sell him for actual cash dollars in the window...

One of the ‘in the know’ types on Twitter (@bwfc12341) has claimed that White has been sent back to Blackburn and Lee is back at the stadium. Positive developments if true.

Yeah, that’d be Kieran rather than Sammy.
Ex-Sheffield Wednesday midfielder mentioned further up the thread.

Don't think we can afford both Chung Yong and Veloso in this window, mate.

The twittersphere reckons Crellin has gone too.

Yeah, although that same chap says he trained with us today. Can’t see any reason why he’d be staying, though.
