Mansfield game has been quickly rearranged for next Tuesday. Quite the three-game week now as it fits between Orient and Salford.
Furthermore, tomorrow we start a run of 12 games in 43 days – we've only got one midweek off in the next six weeks.

Lots of huffing, puffing and 'we go again' clichés then!

Wouldn’t get too excited, weather forecast is not great.

Plenty of the white stuff here, must sure how far south done the M1 it has got to. They made a very early call last time on the game - we’ll see.

One of the signings can play - I hope it’s the midfielder as I think Lee will struggle with another 90 minutes and I’m not sure it’s a night for Thomason either - would start MJ and Lee and bring Lee off after the hour if possible.

I’d be happy with another postponement - all the new lads would be eligible and Declan John up to full fitness. Given how chocker the fixture list is, Sarce might even be back.

If it does go ahead tonight we seem light in midfield. Unless we risk Lee again we’ve got Tutte, Thomason and... Darcy? Comley?!

Not sure if MJ Williams is the “one registered signing” Evatt mentioned or it’s Jensen. Don’t think we will find out till 6pm either - and quite right too.

There was chat Jensen had been in training earlier in the week whereas Williams was more last minute (and I think 1pm yesterday was the cut off).

It's also confusing me that one of our new signings is called MJ, and another Jackson.

When are we likely to get official confirmation on whether this one's going ahead?

If it's on then I'm assuming Jensen and Michael Jordan are the only new signings who might be involved. I'd probably not start any of the new lads given the lack of time with the rest of the team, unless we have some glaring injury issues.

Gilks

Brockbank Santos Baptiste Jackson

Tutte

Lee Thomason

Isgrove Doyle Gnahoua

Evatt said John still not ready to start.

Assuming the registered player is Jensen, I think he'll either go unchanged outfield, or Tutte in for Isgrove (assuming Lee and Thomason are fit)

Personally I'd probably swap Tutte for Thomason.

Not sure what you do with the keeper. Presumably he's come to play.

Aye - surely that can't require much "content" - "If it's going in, fcuking save it"...

Official site de-bags the cat:

"New signing MJ Williams could make his debut for Wanderers this evening following his Deadline Day move from Blackpool. Fellow new signings Lukas Jensen, Oladapo Afolayan and Marcus Maddison will have to wait until the weekend as they were recruited after the registration deadline for tonight’s fixture."

That's actually good news IMO, I would play Williams behind Tutte and Tomo. Both Tutte and Tomo have played at defensive midfield but MJ sounds like a specialist there and it'd be interesting to see Tutte's vertical passing further up the field. But it depends whether we play 4-2-3-1 like last week or a 4-3-3 with one sitting midfielder (eg MJ) behind two runners. Either can be more or less conservative depending on tactics and personnel but I think playing a forward, a "10" and two wingers away at an in-form team might be a bit... ballsy.

I imagine MJ is straight in then for a tough away game. If not him.then Tutte.

Think I'll be waiting until 18:55 prior to making a purchase, because of the weather...

I like Tutte - he's been one of our more consistent performers and I think he deserves to start as DM unless Michael Jordan has been absolutely ripping up trees in training. There's something to be said for showing a bit of respect to the lads who have actually represented us well this season (within reason of course).
