Can we press on against the Iron? Scunthorpe (H) 23.2.21 7pm KO
We welcome the return of Neil Cox and George Taft. One who was a terrific servant for the club, the other who never really got much of a chance.
Another away win has prompted giddy talk of a promotion push amongst some. A side with those ambitions and as far behind as we are, has to win their home games against clubs in the lower half dont they?
Same XI and a hard fought 2-1 win, I reckon. What say you?

Saw a league table over the weekend based on results since we dropped Crellin. We were third - Tranmere top and Scunthorpe second. Be a proper test this one I think. Decent pitch so hopefully our front four will be firing on all cylinders.

They look another team that have improved since we last played them. I'm confident it won't be a cakewalk, but on what should be a significantly better pitch than the last two matches, hopefully we see an improved Bolton performance.
I would look at rotating a few players in the interests of keeping players as fresh as possible. There definitely looks to be a decent case for resting Doyle in favour of Miller or perhaps Fonz. I'd also look at bringing in some of Brockbank, Sarce, Thomason, Arthur and Tutte (fitness permitting).
Slightly better performance and a 2-0 win for me.

Oldham, Bradford, Port Vale and FGR all away in March. Tough month! Time to turn up the performance level I think now.

Time to strike whilst the Iron is hot (sorry H.G. 0 ), and get that (those) early goal (s). We can't keep letting good early goal chances pass by whilst we have decent strikers. Time to get up a head of steam. COME ON YOU WHITES......

Scunthorpe have won 5 of their last 9 away games, however they have lost the other 4.
Draw then.

I've considered all the data and reckon 2-1 Whites is an appropriate result. Make it so.

A clean sheet and three or four flukes by us will settle my butterflies.

Time for the luck to run out. No quagmire pitch for Hare & Hounds Jose to bleat about. Just a good old fashioned finding-out by a better side (which will be anybody's/anything's fault other than the manager's).
3-1 to Scunny.
3-1 to Scunny.

So what you're saying is, I should keep my tenner in my bag, as I'm going to miss absolutely bugger all?

Minds off playoffs and cloud walking and some ground roots grafting to secure the win tonight. Sure won't be easy with a few folk with points to prove, especially the ex-Whites players, but we look a stronger side than we have for a while. Good defending with no Kamikaze stuff and better finishing of chances. Let's nail it firs half instead of late reliance on scoring from behind. COME ON YOU WHITES....

After the last 3-6 against Port Vale, I'm not sure I'd want to see another one like that!LeverEnd wrote: ↑Tue Feb 23, 2021 12:40 pmYou'll miss a free scoring feast!Worthy4England wrote: ↑Mon Feb 22, 2021 4:18 pmSo what you're saying is, I should keep my tenner in my bag, as I'm going to miss absolutely bugger all?

There's been far too much positivity in the last couple of weeks. I'm trying to manage expectations.

Can I just spend a fiver and see how the first half goes?

Can I watch the last 15 for £2.35?

I've forgotten what to do when we're good so a little break from all this winning would be nice.
