Re: Remaining fixtures
I'm beginning to wonder if some of those refereeing decisions at Prenton Park might re-emerge as more important than mere rivals' pride... had Manny Monthe walked (as he surely should) then things would have been different...officer_dibble wrote: ↑Sat Mar 27, 2021 3:59 pmBWFC v Tranmere shoot out for the title on the last day?

They were very fortunate to face us twice before COB in January transfer window.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Sat Mar 27, 2021 4:02 pmI'm beginning to wonder if some of those refereeing decisions at Prenton Park might re-emerge as more important than mere rivals' pride... had Manny Monthe walked (as he surely should) then things would have been different...officer_dibble wrote: ↑Sat Mar 27, 2021 3:59 pmBWFC v Tranmere shoot out for the title on the last day?

Re: Remaining fixtures
Bizarre when FGR started day in automatics and may end it with 9 games still to play arguably only having an outside chance......

Less directly, in 2013 (first season back down out of the Prem) we finished outside the play-offs on goal difference to Leicester:TANGODANCER wrote: ↑Sat Mar 27, 2021 4:03 pmThat's the one. Can't find any other examples of us missing out via goal difference, although I did find a few of us missing out by a point. On the flipside, in 1988 (last time in this division) we went up by a point with slightly worse goal difference than our rivals:

Re: Remaining fixtures
Back to today's games:
Tranmere have still only had two efforts on target but they're winning
Same for Cambridge, currently going top cos they're more accurate than Carlisle, who'd had four on target
Cheltenham have gone one better with five fruitless shots on target while shithousing Morecambe score with their only accurate effort

Re: Remaining fixtures
Cambridge have scored twice from three efforts on target. Like I said before our game against 'em, they do Just About Enough.

Re: Remaining fixtures
Cheltenham losing is the big one.
Tranmere beat them or they beat Tranmere and we win. Top 3.
