Of course he's wrong. Let's be clear "a half" isn't even a real measure. Get a grip.Abdoulaye's Twin wrote: ↑Sat Mar 27, 2021 8:21 pmNasty beard stuff, you aren't wrong LE. Not as bad as Goose Island though. Worst beer I had the misfortune to drink (luckily a supplier freebie) in decades was Wooha. The only worse beer than that was what amounted to a half of puke at a beardy CAMRA event nearly 3 decades ago. My stomach still turns at the thought of it

I agree a half is nonsense, but it was the only size if glass in the place. Given the standard of beer that night I'd have been happier with a shot glass (I may have drunk beer from a shot glass since)...Worthy4England wrote: ↑Sat Mar 27, 2021 8:29 pmOf course he's wrong. As IPAs go Goose Island, I suspect sells pretty well, wouldn't be my first pick by a long shot, could quite happily leave it, but not undrinkable. Would drink it all night if the alternative is fcuking Carling. Flavourless shite for the masses.Abdoulaye's Twin wrote: ↑Sat Mar 27, 2021 8:34 pmI agree a half is nonsense, but it was the only size if glass in the place. Agree with all that, though I'm not keen. Better than Carling as you say.Worthy4England wrote: ↑Sat Mar 27, 2021 8:49 pmAs IPAs go Goose Island, I suspect sells pretty well, wouldn't be my first pick by a long shot, could quite happily leave it, but not undrinkable. Goose sells quite well, but at the moment Stewart Brewings Radical Road is one of the best sellers. Vocation Life & Death is going well too. On principle I don't sell Carling etc. Tennents and Stella are about the worst beers I stock

Life and Death is good, but seems to punch above its 6.5%. It's no less beardy than Elvis Juice...not tried t'other.Abdoulaye's Twin wrote: ↑Sat Mar 27, 2021 8:58 pmAgree with all that, though I'm not keen. I was just getting in before you AT with the comment, however I do like some of the Beardy beers. Having said that I'm currently drinking red stripe in the bath.
I'm generally an alcohol(ic) philistine though.
My home-brewed tinned pear wine was genuinely vile. Have to agree with Bruce on that. however he was a little unfair to call my Rumtopf with dark rum soaked fruit a 'pot of excrement'.

I'm just not into all these fruity beers. But they sell, so I stock themWorthy4England wrote: ↑Sat Mar 27, 2021 9:05 pmLife and Death is good, but seems to punch above its 6.5%. Obviously, I don't combine the two for fear of spilling my drink
This evening has seen a Verdant "Headband", a Magic Rock "Fantasma" and a Signature "Roadie". None of which were consumed in the bath.

Magic Rock is in Huddersfield. They do some good stuff. Cannonball was a favourite. Ultra poncey, beard down to the knees and plaited.TonyDomingos wrote: ↑Sat Mar 27, 2021 9:47 pmAbdoulaye's Twin wrote: ↑Sat Mar 27, 2021 8:58 pmWankerTonyDomingos wrote: ↑Sat Mar 27, 2021 8:49 pmAnd here's me sipping a fine armagnac courtesy of the Wine Society. Went to their tap room once, great brewery.

I'm sitting at my work bench, packing envelopes with my ebay sales..... drinking Aldis finest lager (Rheinbacher Pilsner).
And I'd just like to tell you that I called it first in November 2016 - and we got promoted in May 2017.
I also called it from day one in 2020 that we'd get promoted in 2021

We are going to go up as champions --- we've only been in the 4th division once before (i was there) in 87/88 and we smashed it after a slow start.
We're going to do the same again this season but finish as champions this time.
The Whites are on their way back up the football league.
God bless Sharon, Mike, Ian Evatt and all the team.

Are we still sacrificing chickens and (if it works) is there any stock market advice available?
Re: Meat Dodgers v Fee Doidgers - FGR away, Sat 27/3 live on the tele @ 12pm
After examining my mother in laws stools...
M&G.L would be my go to recommendation in the current climate.
A safe dividend of 9% (dividend cover increasing year on year)
A increase in assets under management (again year on year)
Probably undervalued by at least 50%
Better than putting your money in a cash ISA at 1%
Rolls Royce are currently a snip at 112p - I'd expect to treble my investment over 5 years
BP are a good shout too -- currently massively undervalued.
If you hold shares in easyjet -- sell on Monday ---take your profits and run -- massively over valued in the current market and a good bet if you are a short seller.
Hope that helps...
