Whilst Adams talks buffoonery, and I agree we need to move on, there might be a small contrary case for saying we got "exactly" what we deserved against the Shrimps. We didn't finish well, didn't put our chances away and committed a sin of glaring defensive carelessness that cost us. We left the stable door open and the horse ate the apple pie off the window-sill. Can't altogether blame the horse..Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Fri Mar 11, 2022 5:12 pmSaucer of milk for Evatt:

That is a perfect example of a team raising their game to play at the home of (league one) football! How can they defend for their lives here and ship a bucket load at shrewsbury!

In a 5-0 drubbing yesterday, they were still bleating about never getting penalties...and even cited Connolly getting wiped out at ours. Clearly they missed the point that they've had as many pengies as us. Including the one at their place that was recinded. Not noted for objective balanced opinion.
As for "local Derby" (who are they kidding?) we're the same distance to Leeds....so they can hopefully play Barrow next season and still have their derby.

I suspect going a goal down, followed by another one shortly thereafter meant they had to leave themselves very exposed.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Tue Mar 15, 2022 9:31 pmThat is a perfect example of a team raising their game to play at the home of (league one) football! What a difference a sloppy goal makes at ours...
