With the exception of Peterborough picking up form, we couldn't have asked for better results the past few weeks.

Aye - it's the old "nobody wants to up".

Posh are still being held 0-0 at home by Oxford.

Pompey not out of the reckoning either, although I think one more defeat will do it for them

Yeah, they've just won so they're 3pts and 11 goals behind us. Not gone yet.

Ipswich thundering along (18pts from last 18 possible, 22/24) and Plymouth maintaining a similar pace leaves South Yorkshire gloomy. We know we can't repeat our last-6 form but as noted it looks like 75pts might be enough for top six, and that Posh are our biggest problem. Wycombe don't make it in any of the extrapolations and we can almost forget Shrewsbury - 9pts below the dots right now and battered 6-0 today.

Didn't think we'd be top six never mind 5th going into our next league game. Good day I think. Derby are wobbling!

Life catches up with you fast in this league. 3 weeks ago Sheffield Wednesday were all but crowned champions. They now sit outside the top two and have played a game more.

I wouldn’t be too worried if we got them in the play offs. A good side no doubt. But heck that fall will sting. Would rather play 4th though…..

I'd just rather we avoided Ipswich.

Hats off to Ipswich. Is it 9 straight wins now all with clean sheets? In a season where several of the top sides have put decent runs together, that stands out.

Peterborough finally fulfilling their pre season promise. Its very exciting 😃!

It does worry me that Derby and Peterborough have a number of very winnable games still left. But so do we.

The injuries at the back stopping us doing this would be gutting really. Are there any out of contract centre halves worth looking at for an emergency? We are so bare bones there and in a promotion race. I guess nobody would be close to fit enough. Which is a shame. We need to be practicing with likes of Thomason and MJ at centre half for me. Cos likelihood is they will have to fill in at some point.

Evatt won’t want a non-contract player - they’ll be way out of shape. That said, at least centre-backs don’t press…

I would say we would have to be training up MJ. He’s played there before. We will need the numbers just for training games!!
