Well there's another clanger. Looks like Dixon's accustomed to them that he didn't even claim for a free kick. Gotta come out and punch that if its a tough one.
Can imagine that'll be the death knell of Dixon's Bolton career. I'll be very surprised if we've not brought in another keeper for contention, Luke Hutchinson perhaps.
Would be nice to see him come good but never seen a keeper come back from so many mistakes.

He's getting worse with every game.

There has to be a strong case for starting Hutchinson in this competition now.

22 mins in and Crewe score a second. Looked possibly onside for me, given off but still questionable.
Two footed lunge from Aimson on someone he's had a bit of previous with, lucky to get only a yellow there.
Sort your heads out!

Yeah, even punching it would have been better. When you're making basic errors like that...

Nowhere near as bad, god bless him, but just beaten at his near post (by a good effort in fairness), fortunately chalked for offside. Baka just missed from a couple of yards again.
Sheehan is looking very neat, as is Toal so far.

Is something going on between Aimson and one of theirs?

Decent case for a foul.

Yeah, their German forward Sambou seems to have wound him up somewhat.sonicthewhite wrote: ↑Tue Aug 30, 2022 7:46 pmIs something going on between Aimson and one of theirs?

Certainly looks to be more than a coincidence with Aimson and that lad.
Quite a good game, although, as Bod is injured, it is slightly concerning that Baka has lost that six-yard edge he seemed to have off the bench last season.

Could be a case to sub Aimson soon to avoid any potential second yellow.BorsdaneWhite wrote: ↑Tue Aug 30, 2022 7:50 pmCertainly looks to be more than a coincidence with Aimson and that lad.

We should be comfortably ahead. We're not and could've been going in 1-2, their disallowed second was a good strike from them...

Have they made many changes from the weekend I wonder? They look a poor, inexperienced(?) side but as Worthy noted, could be leading 2-1. Ref denied us what appeared to be a stonewall penalty.

Only goes one way from here for the reserve keeper - every time he’s called into action it is calamity after calamity. The new Rachubka!

Shades of onside there...
Re: All change for Crewe? PJ Trophy Group Stages. Crewe Alexandra (H) 7pm KO
I suspect that Dixon's rated quite competent in training, well drilled and well aware of what Evatt wants on a match day. Shame that matchdays have worked out as badly as they have.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Tue Aug 30, 2022 8:02 pmExactly, talk about blind spot.Bruce Rioja wrote: ↑Tue Aug 30, 2022 7:56 pmSadly, I'll be absolutely amazed if we have!Mar wrote: ↑Tue Aug 30, 2022 7:23 pmI'll be very surprised if we've not brought in another keeper for contention,
