I think Dixon is the player Evatt has used most in management - he wants to remember that he hasn’t managed a league one team aspiring for promotion very long instead of jobs for the boys.
Either way I don’t think he’s cut out to be a number two - not keeping himself sharp enough or whatever.

This referee is letting Crewe get away with a fair bit.
Edit: He's just let Johnstone get away with a hard takle through a player.
I think he just likes bad tackles.

Dapo’s been underwhelming. A few balls gone in behind for him, not anticipated, a few wayward crosses and passes. Crewe are growing into it and we cannot find a final ball. Kept us, mostly, to long-range efforts, which have looked very Fisher Price.

Wholesale changes now. 4 subs on.
Sheehan's done well, Baka looked frustrated but has his goal. Toal off after having a good game and Dapo getting rested.
Looked like a dive by Kachunga. Arm raised and in his back, decent shout for the pen but right decision prevails.

Think a few have failed to hit the high note that we started on. Games gone a bit flat. Says as much when all the chances are falling to Thomason.BorsdaneWhite wrote: ↑Tue Aug 30, 2022 8:21 pmDapo’s been underwhelming. Haven’t followed this but Iles described their goal as a ‘monumental mix up between Dixon and Toal’ just seen it…is he at the game? Not sure what Toal had to do with it. All Dixon that. Useless.

Toal was sandwiched between the two inadvertently preventing Dixon from the easy take.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Tue Aug 30, 2022 8:33 pmHaven’t followed this but Iles described their goal as a ‘monumental mix up between Dixon and Toal’ just seen it…is he at the game? It's almost like you've come on in line with Santos coming on....

Feels early for the wheels to be coming off but I suppose we started in July.Worthy4England wrote: ↑Tue Aug 30, 2022 8:38 pmThis is very, very poor. Don't give a shit what the stats say.
RE Dapo I suspect he is one more than most who won’t be appreciating rotation.

Kachunga misses a free header just before Dion wriggles past two and hits one just wide. Good play from him. Final third is worrying atm. Few who need a confidence boost—none more so than El Capitan. This’d be an inauspicious time to get it, perhaps, but a headed winner would be a boon.
Just as I type: Dion with the ultimate sangfroid. Beautiful finish.

Yeah that was Toal. There is no blame for him there. It’s all Dixon no idea what he was doing.Mar wrote: ↑Tue Aug 30, 2022 8:36 pmToal was sandwiched between the two inadvertently preventing Dixon from the easy take.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Tue Aug 30, 2022 8:33 pmHaven’t followed this but Iles described their goal as a ‘monumental mix up between Dixon and Toal’ just seen it…is he at the game? And very nearly an immediate third but Kacha scuffed it!

Some great play since we got that goal. Definitely woke us up and we're going for the juggular.

Time to warm the travel kettle up as the main one has been off the boil for a few weeks now! Brew time.
