Not there yet but - Didn’t we beat Charlton 4-1 from 0-1 last season at theirs and in the last game at Burnden?

Have we got a keeper on the bench? This commentator hasn’t mentioned it

I don’t mind greed if it’s productive. But he made the wrong choice.

Well done lads.
I'm sure Evatt will be applauded for his win at bingo-tombola.

There's been a few instances today where the wrong choice has been made and the ball should've been passed sooner.
That Rak-Sakyi guy for Charlton looked decent.
Great performance after going behind. Looked mentally stronger today and deserved win.

BP said to me at the time "worst decision we've seen here in years". He wasn't wrong. Gave us bloody nowt today.
Anyway - well done lads. Great performance against a side who will be up there I reckon.

How was George Thomason? A lot of v favourable shouts on twitter but would appreciate some perspective from those who could see the game.
Nero fiddles while Gordon Burns.

Was wondering the same. Really like him but wasn't convinced he'd ever be a regular starter. Would love to be wrong.KeyserSoze wrote: ↑Sat Sep 03, 2022 5:52 pmHow was George Thomason? A lot of v favourable shouts on twitter but would appreciate some perspective from those who could see the game.
Wasn't there either today, hence the victory.

Worth saying that Evatt got the midfield selection bang on today. Doubt it'll shut up the nay-sayers and "selection bingo" commentators, but maybe it should. Maybe, just maybe, someone who sees these lads every day in training knows better than us how to play them...?
Thomason was excellent. 9/10. Constantly showed for it, got his foot in, closed down well, and played some great passes.

Good call to give Thomasson his first league start. He played well. Glad he answered his critics as I rate him highly and he needs to get his chances as to me he is just as good as our other midfield players with perhaps Lee being the exception, and with time, he will be better than Lee. His passing and overall composure on the ball today was admirable.

Big shout out to Trafford who made 3 or 4 excellent saves. Got injured with about 10 mins to go and I wondered who would go in the goal. Fortunately he endured to the end. When will Evatt stop playing Russian roulette by not keeping a keeper on the Bench. Concerned about our Defense as we make mistakes and give the opposition too many looks at our goal. The better teams in the division will take their chances. Our football was sumptuous at times with Connor at the center of most of our attacks, Thomasson the supplier, and Charles looking hungry. Lee his usual simple classy self and scoring but Baka having a complete off day. Happy times.
