I mean if we wish to be super-cynical, it was a pengy, a defensive howler and then a late grace goal against 10 tiring opponents.

But if we wish to look another way, we hassled them into a penalty, were awake enough to take care, then kept a clean sheet as they came at us, then scored a very fine goal indeed.

As ever, probably the truth lies somewhere in between. But it was a good day to be a Wanderer.

Agree. But it was away at play off contenders. So to be able to do that is good enough.

The fact is we look a decent side when we get the goals especially early. As games go on I fear we look worse than especially if we haven’t scored. Likes of Lee who is quality tire as do the wing backs for different reasons.

Cracking day out that. Stopped for a few in Penistone pre-match, which was nice. Great atmosphere from the away fans and a solid win.

Disappointed with the lack of creativity for quite substantial parts of the game though. We set up really strangely after the red card, with our central midfielders going out to wide areas with just Morley wandering around the DM area marked out and no effort to get loose. We couldn't find them and just ended up lumping it forward. We found a bit more after 65 mins or so and looked like we could score a few more

He's certainly learning every time he plays, but he's always looked to have something about him. I don't think League One will be his level once he's full up to speed.
