How the fk is that not a foul on Charles, grabbed hold of him.

Clear foul by Lee straight after that too.

3 points.

If anything the only other positive from that is the wake up call. We didn't look like we were capable of getting out of 2nd gear. Thankfully we didn't play Peterborough away today.

Great result, one of those i'd put down in the grinding out results category.

Aye we looked very very leggy. The correlation between who runs furthest and who wins is fairly strong, think we've trend bucked there a bit.

Performance was miles off it, but understandable reasons and dug it out.

Nlundlu is going to have to learn to run very quickly. Lazy bastard. Toal looked like he'd put his legs on the wrong way around. And starting to worry Randy is a bit shit. Good runner, best player in the first half. But I'm not sure he can kick it.

Looking at the next 4 fixtures, these 3 points are more than welcome.

Need to put Wembley in the back pocket, get on the bike and start motoring.

Pompey A, Morcambe A, Ipswich H, Sheff W A.

If we can do the business and get near maximum points then we're in for one hell of ride.

FT Barnsley 4-1 Derby
FT Charlton 0-1 Wednesday
FT MK 0-1 Ipswich
FT Posh 5-2 Plymouth
FT Shews 2-0 Wycombe

Whodathunk the mighty Paul Warne's men could ship 4 the same day the clueless Darren Ferguson's side scored 5 against the team in second? Well, not all results went our way but if we can keep winning and one or two teams around us lose each week, it'll start looking good. 6pts off 2nd now and the team between us and them has to come to ours yet. 9pts clear of 7th. It'll do for now.

Barnsley can have a huge say on what happens at the top. I thought we had a tough March.

By eck that were shite.

Individually and collectively we were bloody awful. They were one of the best sides I've seen at the Reebok too.

Hopefully it was just an after the Lord Mayor's show kinda thing rather than fatigue cos we're playing again Tuesday.

Still - a win's a win :oyea:

A tough game for us. Players felt the effects of Wednesday. Our midfield looked very tired and our youngest players except for Bradley seemed in over their heads today. But we found a way to win. Now at the business end of the season. The teams with the better squad depth will stay the course. The front runners will start to come back to the field, the cavalry charge from behind will come charging, the mid table teams will go on early holidays while the teams in the relegation battle will be the hardest to beat. It will be tough. These 3 points today were crucial. Tough run ahead.

I hope the Plymouth result today is the kind to derail their season.

Trafford deserves an honorable mention today btw. One save at 2-1 was outstanding and ensured we got the 3 points.

If we beat Portsmouth and Morecambe, we will go 2nd on Saturday for about 40 minutes

We can but hope the rest end up having middling ends to the season while we have a quiet charge to the top. Can't see it happening without a lot of twists and turns on the way.

Very much looks like Wednesday to win it with the rest of us fighting it out for 2nd and playoffs.

It doesn’t matter much as to how. We won.

A worry though with two tough aways coming up how tired we looked mentally and physically. And the knocks we continually pick up. A few hobbling round at the end. Mbete, Victor and Dempsey.

The win though was much needed. Not deserved at all. But who cares?

I thought Williams was good but faded. Seriously faded. Sheehan was goal apart completely useless. Morley looked like he put on lead boots. Victor was fine till he went off. Shoretire arguably starting to look his age. A bright start to his career here but my concern that he’d be nullified once teams figured him out is not getting any less. Dempsey was the one I felt who kept us together.

And Jones when he came on after his initial mistake.

Trafford had a game to forget in terms of kicking and distribution. Toal was…hesitant and slow.

Nlundulu really did not impress me when he came on. He looks like he doesn’t want to run. Charles barely got a kick.

Bradley…where to start….I’m not sure if I’d play him Tuesday. A great outlet on his day but his comically woeful end product is grating. And he looks physically shot.
