I woke up this morning thinking football and for some strange reason, Tommy Banks, Dave McKay, Tommy Smith, Jimmy Case and Gary Speed were all to the fore. I should have been dreaming of 25 goal per season strikers, but I wasn't. The mind plays funny games at times.

Meanwhile, goals are what count end of day, so how about we get a panful? :oyea: :oyea:

Thommo and Mags in with Sheehan and Morley out. Charles back in for Dan.
Age and treachery will always overcome youth and skill!

And the key to a result is a good :kettle:

Happy with that. Grit and fight early on with finesse coming off the bench. Don't see Maghoma and Thomason being much of a goal threat.

These are the sort of games we should be winning for promotion. Tough hard to beat matches where we've previously struggled suddenly turned in our favour.

Given last week, it would seem extra relevant but I'm expecting it be a frustrating day.

Referee playing silly beggar with this decision making.

Clearly some issues with decision making with that Iredale gaff.

Looks like the last two matches wrapped up in one so far.

They've got 2 mascots on the edge of the pitch. One in their bright yellow and the other wearing our colour of black. Didn't think that was permitted for obvious reasons. Still, they're terrible mascots.

I suspect that if he was feeling pressured against Wigan, he'll be feeling even more so given the size of this pitch.

This isn't the best game of football.

Oxford go top by scoring at home to Charlton, who go 19th.

"Maghoma booked for bringing down Kamwa as the hosts looked to launch a counter attack."

Well, we wanted a no.6 who kicked folk.

Sloppy opening 15 where Burton should've been ahead. Decent last 5 mins for us though. Still not great, but better. Feel like decision making in that final third needs to be a bit better.

People say we're too soft but then the alternative seems to be Maghoma on a booking for 80 minutes

He stopped the man running at our defence. If we'd've done that against Wigan, it would've been a massive help. He'll have to sit off a tad now, but it shouldn't rest solely on one person to stop the opposition breaks.

That being said I don't think it was overly intentional from Maghoma, just more fell on him.

The early season glow has definitely worn off. This is absolute bobbins. And I’m not seeing this big reaction or fight to last week. If anything it looks like it’s knocked the stuffing right out of us.
