Quick thinking from Randy made that goal.
I don’t think we would have ground out this game last season, but we’re really looking a solid side now.
Up the Whites!

The test is Saturday. Big expectant home crowd. Local derby. Played a tough game midweek.
All the warning signs there but it’s a crucial game. Have to prove we can do it in these games.

Much better second half performance. 2-0, probably should've been more. Clearances on the goal line and Dion's chance.
Professional job done. The best teams win when not at their best, we did that today. Glad to see us keep finding a way.

Decent outcome from second half performance. Bit headless in the last 15 and probably just needed a bit of a calm down. Happy wanderer.

On past few performances I think it’s time to start Bod ahead of Adeboyejo. Bod looks back to his best.

Two goals from centre-mid again. Long may that continue. Absolutely necessary while Dion continues to squander and Vic looks nowhere near.
Was professional, if uninspiring. Another clean sheet away from home: superb, all in all.

Appart from the one spring that I stupidly broke mid 1st half was the couch comfortable for everyone?

Certainly was DJB, top man.
Just 3 points behind 1st and level on points with 2nd who’ve just lost their manager, things aren’t looking too bad. Really odd to think just a few weeks ago internet sentiment was getting quite close to ‘Evatt out’ territory.

Vic was pretty anonymous tonight and did poorly with his chance, whilst Bod certainly made an impact in the time he got. However, I think it’s not entirely fair to extrapolate from 10 minutes against tiring defenders.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Tue Nov 07, 2023 9:51 pmOn past few performances I think it’s time to start Bod ahead of Adeboyejo. If Bod has the fitness to run for 60 minutes+ now then he must be in contention to start games soon.

He hardly set the world on fire as a starter, first half of last season, so not sure that'll be top of Evatt's to do list. He's certainly looking sharper than he did, early doors, which is good to see.The_Gun wrote: ↑Tue Nov 07, 2023 10:13 pmVic was pretty anonymous tonight and did poorly with his chance, whilst Bod certainly made an impact in the time he got. Big thanks D.J.Blu as ever for the couch kindness.
Game was not unexpectantly alphabet soup/Spaghetti Western , good bad and ugly, and the sooner we can get out of this league the better. Two great goals and a tough luck almost from Dion. Shrewsbury could be a better side if they didn't rely so much on wallop ball. Yardage pinching, time wasting and fake foul claims are the norm here, and that big lunk (no 33) was in the ref's face all game; really got on my wick. Winning ugly it was, but a clean sheet and three points keeps the smiles on faces. We had our moments botrh good and bad, but won in the end. Well done the lads. The nine minutes added time got us a second goal, but where they came from..??
p.s. Is it my imagination, or did Dion deliberately ignore Dadbod at the substitution?

Why bother replying to posts from during the match? If you don’t like them? What’s the point?dave the minion wrote: ↑Tue Nov 07, 2023 9:58 pmPlease. Give. It. A. Rest.

I’m sure the next Ivan Toney is on the way to 20 goals a season any second now….

Great result. Those of us still willing Dan to come good (that's all of us, yes?) have got to be pleased with his contribution for the 2nd goal. Great interplay and finish from the 3 of them.

Re: No Gooseberries at Shrewbury. Away to Shrewsbury Tuesday 7th Nov 7-45.
Saw the 2nd Half only. We look like a tough team to beat, a far cry from the weak sissy team of last season. Santos was immense. Looked to be the best player on the pitch by a distant. Forrester was impressive and to me will be a first pick over Jones. Baxter is solid. Thomasson was crashing into tackles at the rate of knots. Not a game for our wing backs as Shrewsberry did a good job preventing them from playing their game. Impressed also with DadBod.. that little move to dismiss the defender to create the 2nd goal was class. Hopefully he is well on his way to his best. Fingers crossed that he stays fit.
