I have to agree that Derek's commentary doesn't always make me immediately realise what's happening where on the pitch. He's got a good tone and knows his subject but when you're listening without imagery you need to know we're 30 yards from goal or attacking down the left wing or whatevs.

I presume that's a tactical change?

PA says just a double change - Mengi (booked) for Bell and Doughty (good) for Giles.
I love Baxter.

Foz was booked in the first half; maybe it's an actuarial decision to reduce the risk of a suspension. As a WB himself, Iredale might also link up well with Ashworth. Plus "minutes in the legs" for Jacknicholaldo wrote: ↑Tue Jan 16, 2024 8:55 pmI presume that's a tactical change?

Dearden and Browny also making the point that Iredale - arguably more of a left-back/wingback - is naturally more attacking than Forrester, whom Evatt has called a good "box defender". So it's risk/reward - add an overlapper in midfield to make up the numbers - we may have more chance of conceding but we may also have more chance of scoring.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Tue Jan 16, 2024 8:58 pmFoz was booked in the first half; maybe it's an actuarial decision to reduce the risk of a suspension. Well it's certainly done us no harm thus far. We've had the better of the second half as it stands.
