feck off referee. How is that a foul you prick?
Re: No Pirates up the Irwell. Home to Bristol Rovers, Sat 16th Dec, 3-0'clock
Charles played poorly against Pompey, and hasnt exactly imposed himself on this game either. Part of that I suspect maybe the change in how we play and how poorly we've been looking after the ball in these two matches.
Need some level heads here. Just a repeat of the second half of Pompey game as it stands.

Gonna need a Leicester type spiritual response to this.

We're gonna get battered here.
Baxter looked to have touched that. More protestations getting booked. Least the ref seems consistent at booking people who complain.
Wow, shite performance and no boos ringing around the ground. Looks like these players have got a bit of grace from the fans.

They came for a point. Then went 1-0 and had barely been in our half. Even between the red and sub they retreated every time we had the ball. So let's take off our top scorer for another defender. Since which unsurprisingly we can't keep the ball and they're all over us.Mar wrote: ↑Sat Dec 16, 2023 3:51 pmCharles played poorly against Pompey, and hasnt exactly imposed himself on this game either. Bristol Rovers are walking off thinking the job is done, well, can't blame em.
Worst half of football this season. Charles and JDB clearly not the winning formula.

Unacceptable. Unprofessional. Sloppy. Lazy. All true. Captain sets the tone with back to back shockingly lazy displays.
This is what I mean. This team was riding high. One defeat and then this utter capitulation.
I hope Evatt is flinging all manner of objects round the dressing room.
We pay to watch this. It’s absolutely unforgivable. Least, the very least to expect is to see a fully committed performance. This is not that. Half hearted. Can’t be bothered right from the off.
Taking Charles off completely unfathomable in the stadium. I mean he’s played ok and is our only outlet. Take him off? Nonsense

Yeah, he threw Santos at Baxter, just so they know where each other is...BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Sat Dec 16, 2023 3:57 pmI hope Evatt is flinging all manner of objects round the dressing room.

Anyone thinks there isn’t considerable work needed in January? Well we’ve got that answer!
Re: No Pirates up the Irwell. Home to Bristol Rovers, Sat 16th Dec, 3-0'clock
Mentally weak. If you want to be arrogant then you need the minerals to back it up. Play with swagger when you're 2 up.
Expecting to turn up and turn them over then don't be surprised when they have a go.
We haven't earned the right to walk over teams and we still need to expect them to come here and treat it like a final.
So angry at the performance as they look like a team of individuals.

Is Morley playing himself to a January transfer? We’ve been winning without him. He looked miles off it when he came on at Pompey and sounds like he’s struggling today.

Nah. I suspect Morley's struggled for a while, so Evatt's trying to get him into the frame so as to help make a decision on whether we look to give him a new contract or look to make decisions around improving his position. His contracts up in 18 month so this is around the time when player and club are having to make serious considerations.
You'd've thought this would be the sort of game Morley can thrive in so why not play him.
Doesn't seem to be going very well though. Bristol Rovers parking the bus isn't helping matters and a number of players aren't exactly looking after the ball very well.

Sub Morley off.
He's walking around closing off passing angles as he doesn't seem to want the ball. We're already down to 10 men without Morley disappearing.
(that being said he's just upped his game and contributed somewhat, but its notable he's just walking around the pitch)

Failed the mentality test. Sharon, get the chequebook.

Oh don’t worry. I understand he’s one of many today, but it feels like if we’re going to improve the midfield in January he might be the one who is most expendable.

Dacres-Cogley has been awful for some time now. That's a definite area to be looking at given we're short there anyway.

Wouldn't disagree particularly, there mate. We said the squad was a bit thin. One additional injury to Dan, and we've gone to shit.jimbo wrote: ↑Sat Dec 16, 2023 4:28 pmOh don’t worry.
