Quick question,

Do you think we're a better team when we're chasing or being chased?

I've found it hard to judge this season as we've had the chance to stay in the top 2 and haven't and we all know about the games in hand?

However, when we beat Crawley away to clinch promotion I feel it was a similar situation to what we're in now. Like a bad smell that eventually comes to the fore by going up by 1 point.

Very hard to say, Blu. We haven't made a great fist of staying in the top two...

• We were top in August then crashed to Wigan and drew at Burton.
• Briefly bobbed back in after beating Derby (oh yes) in September, then we lost at Reading and drew home to Posh.
• Went on a winning run at hit the top again by beating Exeter, then only drew at Oxford and lost to Pompey/Brizzle.
• Immediately won another four on the bounce to New Year's Day - but a lack of pooints in January dragged us out again.
• Beating Cheltenham and Carlisle took us back in - promptly drew the next two to drop out.
• Popped back in by drawing at Barnsley but then wazzocked at Exeter to drop out again - and here we are.

So maybe it'd be good if we didn't overtake Derby on Saturday - although I wouldn't complain....

I think it's best to be in the top 2 after the end of game 46. :-)

Folk have made hopeful comparisons to the first Rioch promotion side, who only hit the top two on the last midweek I think.

This is my whole issue, It's hard to remember the last time we romped to a promotion, 1997 was it?. Wasn't the one with Parky close at the end too?

It would've be nice to see us be 15 points clear and needing a draw this weekend, but that's boring isn't it?

Parky was last week, too, I think (or maybe 2nd last)...

Parky season we confirmed it last game, Scunthorpe (?) could still catch us! What happened to them…

96/97 we had won the league by now.

Blackett-Taylor just missed an absolute sitter for Derby.

League One officials are dreadful.

Don't know how that ball went out of play but here we are.

I take it a draw isn't good enough? Not that there is a chance of that on this showing.

Absolutely, but watching this as a neutral some of the decisions are laughable.

Calling Derby offside when it was a Wycombe player who was through is my favourite.

Yep and the linesman giving a throw when he was right next to the ball which was clearly in play.

Would prefer a loss but a draw is fine. Anything but a derby win puts it back "in our hands"

This is genuinely awful to watch. I hate having to support a team that isn't my team.

I can imagine my posts if this was us,

"They've not had a break like us"
"How did x miss that"
"This is dreadful"
"Playoffs it is"

I do wonder what Derby fans are making of this game.
