Knob head "fans" booing the team off at half time.

Like that's going to help...
Yeah it’s the fans fault. Maybe if we were watching something that was even remotely acceptable. Perhaps some real grit and effort? It’s been awful so far. Let’s not sugarcoat it. Paying to watch this? Unacceptable.
Oh come on. Grow up and stop being such an eejit.

Nobody said it was the fans fault. Nobody at all.

However, despite the tripe you trumpet every week the players are not deliberately struggling and need support not criticism

Barnsley, Pompey and Derby all winning. This will be dropped points for us.
9 minutes extra time, plenty for us to catch up.

The subs haven't helped us, yet.

Now the referee recognises the need to stop play for a head injury...

WTF is that ref!

Never a free kick for the goalkeeper! He's ran into Jerome!

Ref just eating up our stoppage time here.

Compare that to JDC's in the box collision... fkin joke.

This keeper is going to win an award.

Should be a yellow for conning the referee.

Sadly this'll be our downfall. Not putting teams away and thinking we don't have to stick to the basics.

Can't concede 3 at home and expect to win.

Poor all game at the back.

At least we haven't lost.

Frustrating. It feels like now is the time that we need to be hoovering up points bearing in mind what’s to come.

Sadly I don't think this team has it to go up top two.

Just too inconsistent. A couple of players out and they turn to rat shit whilst other teams go from strength to strength.

Thankfully Santos might be back soon but for how long. We have to find ways of beating teams like Charlton at home with the players we have. It's always been the "Bolton" way.

Definitely dropping points today. Referee again providing moments of contentious decision making to impact the game.

Bad defending has cost us.
Can't concede three at home and expect to get something.

Feel like we've got to start taking points off the top teams to actually get promoted now. Winning the games in hand no longer get us top of the league.

Compare our injury crisis with Pompey's injury crisis and they've managed a lot better. Can't feel sorry for ourselves when they've had a much worse injury record.

Baxter's the bigger miss. As much as I like Rico, I think we cope better without Rico than we do without Baxter.

Mousinhio and Warne do look to have the edge over Ian. I wonder if we left it too late to make signings in January - a couple of weeks with Taylor and Ramsay bedded in and they might not still be getting up to speed. Colins as well - wasn’t very good today.

I suspect any notion of playing it safe before throwing Rico and indeed Baxter back in will now be quietly shelved.

Credit for the way we kept coming back and finding ways to score. Debit for some woeful defending.

We now need to win a few aways on the bounce. Derby aren't slackening, and Pompey sail serenely on.

Here's the top 8's recent form. We need to decide which gang we're in.

It’s the first half that cost us. We weren’t great second half but we played with intent and passion. Fight. Effort. But we can’t afford to drop these points. It’s the fact that we have these performances where there is no passion or intent and it’s like we think we can just stroll it. Happens way too often. Being poor you can manage with. We were poor at times second half but we always were playing with significant intent.

Thank god we brought JDB on. He was immense. Totally transformed us because he can actually hold the ball and play. He and Collins for me now. Till Charles is back. Victor and Collins don’t work. At all.

But first half is our issue. Happens too often. Play poorly and play without intent. We are in a promotion race. But we are always just waiting for the next one where it happens.

Back there massively struggled today I thought. Iredale and Jones especially in terms of defending our box. Massive questions to be asked of Sheehan and Dempsey for me. It’s just not acceptable to not turn up. Even if they were better second half they didn’t do or offer enough imo and our midfield was troubling vacant far too often.

See, some of that couldn't be helped because it depends on the clubs we're hiring from - by all accounts WBA didn't decide to let Taylor out until the last few days, Leeds were sniffing round Ramsay earlier, Collins hadn't yet decided to leave.

But we need to change the things we can, control the controllables – and I come back again to the questionable decision of rearranging the Cambridge game so imminently. What we could do with now is a week on the training ground, not a nervy nine-hour drive. Both clubs have to agree to a date, there's plenty midweeks in April, and we already had players already out injured (Santos was out, Baxter in question). I genuinely think that's a big balls-up on our part. I hope to God it doesn't cost us because we now need that three-point bonus.
