Cambridge have just appointed Garry Monk (insert Abbey jokes here). That's a great appointment for them and they've got Barnsley (a) and Derby (h) in their run in.
Curious, the Monk thing. Unemployed for 3.5 years after being sacked by Birmingham, the year after being sacked by Sheffield Wednesday. Both those are... problematic clubs, of course, but I think it's fair to say he's not fulfilled the expectations he set in his early days at Swansea. Curiously long wait, and weirdly he was linked with Sampdoria six months ago.

I like that he was replaced (at his various clubs) by Francesco Guidolin, Thomas Christiansen, Tony Pulis, Pep Clotet and Tony Pulis, having in turn replaced Michael Laudrup, Steve Evans, Aitor Karanka, Steve Cotterill and Steve Bruce. Such a strange cross-section of management.

Anyways, all the best to him, especially against the teams Boris mentions...
