Up Winter Hill Bah't hat. Home to Barnsley, Tues 7th May 8-0 clock

Second Leg of two, Semi-final. In the words of the late Dusty Springfield , "Wishing and dreaming, hoping and praying" ..etc...
Taking a 3-1 lead into battle on our home turf we surely can be allowed to dream of Wembley and the promotion final hurdle. After tonight we'll know who we may face if, and when, we next don the beloved badge. With just three days to go, might as well start forecasting, so out with the crystal balls and at it. Okay, over-confidence can work against us, but we have to believe, so get believing lads and lassies, Que-Sera Sera..... :Jedi:

They're going to come out of the traps quick. Absorb the early pressure, hit them on the break and do our thing.

We're technically 3-1 up at half time. Been there before and know what can happen.

As a side, Collins could possibly be the signing of the season as he seems to have rejuvenated our strike force.

Of that there's no question as they have absolutely nothing to lose. Our defence will be as important as our attack because our box will surely be a target area. Our best defence will be to score again without conceding as they're the ones chasing the ace and it's no use disguising the fact if we can do that, Wembley beckons and that's what it's all about now. . . Their whole game will be about scoring and honourable draws are as useful as glass hammers . We can safely expect a battle royal. May the spirit of Super Kev be our battle flag. :davies: :oyea:

Yeah we have to be up for the fight again. If we do the same things, win the physical battles and are focussed then I have no worries. It’s entirely down to our attitude and focus. That’s what winning yesterday gives us.

Need to not panic, stay calm, resist what they do and then play from there.

Surely Connell has to be banned for this one for the stamp? Has to be some retrospective action for that. Awful.

Not much made of it, so can’t see it. Cosgrove managed to divert attention from it the massive bell end.

Would expect them both to start with prime objective number one to get one of our players sent off, so that’s what we will need to look out for.

They've got to come at us. I think we could easily pick them off on the break - rinse and repeat the first goal, please!

I mean presumably we can send a video in? Deffo knew what he was doing.

Connell is a horrible player. I like a bit of needle and someone who puts themselves about but he goes way too far. And it’s not like he has any physicality.

I really do hope the club have reported it as it's clear as day on the replays.

It's taken a while but I completely agree with this. :pissed:

Cosgrove is an out and out thug, but our captain's learning the trade..

Evatt was deep in conversation with Connell at the end and it was somewhat hard to tell if it was an argument or a tap-up...

He's a little shit but I'd have him back in a heartbeat.

That’s where I’m at. He’s still pretty young so got some growing up to do but I think he’ll be playing in the championship soon. That challenge was nasty and if he has got away with it he’s a very lucky boy. I’m not sure if we can report it - not often you can get someone banned for the next game against you I guess so it won’t happen often.

Not for me. Let him rot in the lower leagues. Which is his level.

He’ll not come back, but he’s the best player we’ve produced in a while. I also think he’s no worse than Thomason on the discipline front.

This is where i'm at. He was good for us when we were bad and really stood out.

Reminds me very much of Thomason.
