Yep its more or less 24 hours, though it's kind of up to the poster of the picture. For example I'll leave this one open for a few days what with it being Easter and all.

Quite right, there is no limit on how many captions can be posted but a winner should be announced 24 hours later. The idea was that a member could only post one caption per pic.........Commie!! :P
