Celebrity Encounter in ASDA

Post by Batman » Tue Jun 13, 2006 2:13 pm

Just been chatting to DAVID LEE in Asda in Preston, he was beside me in the 10 itesm or less queue. The man is a law-abiding citizen because he only had 7 items.

I stalked him around the shop when I saw him, and then said hello at the till, and told him how well he played at home to Bradford in our promotion year. Said he is still coachin the kids at Wiggin, but he would love to work at BWFC again.

I am all excited now, a true BWFC legend.

He says he's still faster than most of the kids at wiggin. Little bugger doesn't fall over easily when you boot him either.

You sure they weren't just filming the follow up to the Michael Owen Asda commercial? :D

I'll have to keep an eye out for a fella in a full PVC batman replica suit tapping David Lee's Asda Price arse twice from now on.

Would've thought he'd have progressed a bit further from the Wigan academy, he's been doing that for a couple of years now, and their reserves are nearly as bad as ours!

On an almost related note, I'm positive I saw Paul Gascoigne near Leigh Sainsbury's on Saturday, was a bloomin' good lookalike otherwise, and his number plate was "G8 EFC"

I think we expected too much of him because he always tore us to pieces when he was with the Ra Ras (Play Off semi final excepted).

If you look at some of the old Road Runner videos its amazing how many assists he actually made. Couldnt shoot for toffee though!

Spotted again this morning.

Good to see his (non-bald) son sporting full Bolton kit round the shop.

What a man what a man what a mighty good man.
