Who is your internet Service Provider?
And do you get a good service.

Mine is NTL 10mb at £35 per month Unlimited
but ive seen 24mb cheaper but not NTL.

If your isp goes through a BT line do you get problems with the filters?

Why don't you check ISP review for comparisons. NTL is at http://www.ispreview.co.uk/new/reviews/ntlworld.shtml

See, I've no idea what you're on about.

I pay BT £30 a month and everytime I come to use the internet - There it is, and for as long as I want.

I'm afraid that that's as deep as I get in!

I hear what you're saying, Kylofski. I seem to be looking at it from the other angle though. I know that I can get a cheaper deal elsewhere, but I've never had a moment of bother with BT in relation to both the telephone and internet. As such I'm just worried that I might be buying into a boatload of trouble by trying to save a few Quid, and I can really do without the hassle.

I believe NTL to be amongst the World's worst when it comes to customer service (an accolade which must surely be bestowed upon NPower, in my experience) but I've never personally dealt with them. It's an awkward call.

BR everyone calls NTL but at least they have UK call centres with helpful staff IMO.

Asian Call centres where everyone is called Paul or Steven (Boll***ks) they dont speak English and you can hear them.

I'm on AOL Broadband. £14.99 for the first sixmonths then £17.99 per month. Excellent service with 24 hour access to the internet. Up to now it's great, fast too, plenty good enough for video clips etc. No complaints.

I'm with BT. I've had no problem with the microfilters, although having spoken to a BT engineer, I gather that other people have to replace them from time to time.

Telewest 4MB @ £25/month.

I'm starting a job with BT Broadband in a few weeks but prior to them offering me employment I used to scoff at their download limits.

I believe TalkTalk have an excellent deal on worth checking out.

kylofski unless you have cable you'll be using a bt line, irrespective of who you pay your phone bil too. bt own the phoneline infrastructure, even if you switch call provider you pay bt for line rental.

PlusNet - £22 for unlimited - about to rise to 8Mb line.

And the company pays for it every month - result!

I'm with Pipex, at the moment I get 2mb for £24.

But recently they rang me and said if I swap my telephone to their new service (which is cheaper than what I pay BT) then i get upgraded to 8mb for free by the end of this month.

So i've done that.

And in the future once they sort out the system, my internet and phone bill will be one charge instead of two, easy peasy.

Recently switched to Griffin from BT Openworld - as I believe BT to be a bunch of knobheads. (only from a bitter personal experience, you understand!)

Griffin are fine - at least they sound interested when you phone them, unlike BT.

I've always subscribed to the "if it ain't broke then don't fix it" school of thought - but BT started to break my head!

I'm with a tiny outfit called freenet they do web hosting too.

No problems with them so far, but am investigating the talk talk deal as they make my phoneline at the moment.
