It's been unusually hot here and a lot of sun - we've had a heatwave the last two weeks - cooled down a bit last couple of days.

Hello F4!

The following link is the official Aberdeen Football Club site. It looks as though you may have to 'join' the site to view it - although I guess it would be free.

If you look across the red coloured heading towards the top of the page you will see it says 'football' - which is between 'history' and 'community'.

If you place your 'cursor' on the word football - a drop down box appears - which gives a heading 'youth development'.

I guess that's the place you would need to look.

Before you go to any trouble though - are you aware that Scotland would have the same sort of criteria for signing non-european players as English clubs like Bolton do?

You may want to check if any of your grand-parents were born in europe - as this might help you when applying to any european clubs in the EU.

Best of luck - maybe see you at the new Wembley one day - if we ever finish building it!

You can play for the country that your parents or grand parents were born in.

So for instance Bolton has a player called Kevin Nolan - who is English - but Ireland and possibly Holland want him to play for their national sides because of his links to their country by his grand parents.

I'm guessing that if you really have a grand parent who came from Europe - then it will probably help you overcome some of the barriers that prevent non - EU players getting into the various football academies over here.

From that I reckon you are eligible to play for Chile, Argentina, Panama, England, Northern Ireland, Scotland or Wales - if you ever become an international! (If your grandfather, Kenneth Faille was born in Panama and was a British subject, with a British passport, I think you qualify for any of the four Home Nations.)

Not sure it'll get you an EU work permit though - although I think it probably would. Mind you, I'm not an expert.

I think this is a case of buyer beware. They should have read the small print Caerphilly.
