The Peter Kay story!
PETER Kay's new book has become the fastest selling autobiography of all time - before it has even been published.
The Sound of Laughter is released tomorrow, but 250,000 advance orders have ensured it will be number one on the bestseller list.

Peter Kay is funny. But he aint done anything new for yonks. I think the comments about him relying on the same old jokes are partly due to Channel 5 wheeling out 'Top of the Tower' a lot...
Is he finished though? I heard they were doing a second Max and Paddy (IIRC only the episodes in the prison were top draewr?). Phoenix Nights is still the funniest series ever though. Has he run out of material?

Sorry, Hoolio. It's an Autobiography. Written by him. I read an interview in the Mirror the other day. He decided to write it as he heard someone else was doing a biography of him.Hoolio wrote:Its a biography, not an AUTObiography.
And Peter Kay is unfunny. Relies on the same jokes over and over and over and over.
And he also said he's got 3/4 of a new series of Phoenix Nights written, but it's on hold at the moment while he spends time with his two young kids.
This man is a comedy genius. The reason you think he relies on the same joke is that he's repeated to death on tv.
He'll be knocking out comedy for many years to come.
"You're Gemini, and I don't know which one I like the most!"
Comedy genius:
Came on stage muttering about Elkie Brooks dog and hoovering when i saw him first, before he was famous, in Sheffield. Absolutely pi$$ed my sides all night.

Saw it in Waterstones today but opted for Michael Atherton's delve into the psyche of gambling instead.
Good name that bloke.
