Microsoft Zune.

Post by CrazyHorse » Tue Nov 14, 2006 2:31 pm

Launched today:
http://www.zunescene.com/

Is there any chance whatsoever of it toppling the ipod? Apparently it'll talk to an xbox 360.

Does anyone care?

I hate the company. The Blue Screen of Death is probably reason 10 on a mile long list that starts with their monopoly.

I get it once every blue moon when I have to use a USB comm port on my laptop. I think my Dad's PC has run for something like three years solid without crashing, though.

It wont overtake the ipod - well not in the near future.

It has some advantages, but allegedly you wont be able to buy music from itunes, or use it on a mac if thats you pc of choice.

My Ipod has just broke, so I may have a look however when it comes out over here, but it is microsoft, so th software will be outdated soon, and you'll have to buy allsorts of microsoft accesories to get the bugger to work!

I don't think that it's just IE's fault.

Spyware doesn't just jump on your computer.

What dodgy material have you been downloading huh?!

Well....umm....uhh......

I go to the same places with Firefox and never have a problem. I dont download much, but admittedly it could have been a one off. The only things I usually download are the PPStream and such.

zune is aparantly a rebranded [new model] toshiba gigabeat mp3 player..

you wont be able to use itunes store bought music on this zune deal , or zuneshop bought music on an ipod , lockout style.. songs youve ripped yourself might work on both ..

people who buy music from those drm infectored itunes , should just get the cd , but that will probably have drm on it too if youre unlucky .. and get stuck in your car's cd player...

Apple are so smug arrogant and full of it.

They recently shipped a small number of video ipod preloaded with a Windows virus.

Their comment
As you might imagine, we are upset at Windows for not being more hardy against such viruses, and even more upset with ourselves for not catching it.
Assh0les.
