M25, M6, M56 and M60 Bridge Closures

18 January 2007

Severe high winds have closed the following bridges in the North West to all traffic - Thelwall Viaduct (M6) between junctions 21 and 20, Barton Bridge (M60) between junctions 10 and 11, Weaver Viaduct (M56) between junctions 12 and 14 Gathurst Bridge (M6) between junctions 25 and 26. Restricted service through tunnels only. Drivers are being advised NOT to travel at all unless absolutely necessary. 20 MPH signs are being set across the network.
seems to have calmed down a bit for now where i am

All trains to and from Piccadilly have been cancelled. Something about a dodgy crane.

The A6 is closed in parts and the Princess Parkway is a right off. Getting home is gonna be a bit of a bugger I can tell thee.

A tree fell on my mates car today, but fortunately it's just left a large dent on the boot. Could have been alot worse given that most of the tree fell on the roof.
