Serious message to parents in Sharples / Astley Bridge area
Saw this on the local football website thought the info would be useful if there are any parents in this area
Dear all,
Just to let all parents know an unknown man tried to snatch a thirteen year old boy at 6pm near High Lawn School on Thursday night. On Friday night my step son was walking down Sharples Drive and was chased my a man towards the spar petrol station on Blackburn Road at about 9.15pm who they thought was the same man. The Police have been notified but the man as far as we know is still at large.
Better safe than sorry with the kids as I know the Bromley X pitches are on this area so guess a few of their lads live locally.
Not sure where to post this so if any of the League Secs can put this somewhere where everyone will see it then it would be useful.
thanks

I know the people involved , yes it is true and yes the Police are taking it seriously so best to be careful if any of you have kids in the area. The Police are going to have extra presence in the area and the local schools have been advised.
I've been looking in the local papers for the story as the police normally inform the public through the press.
Have you seen it reported anywhere?
Cheers
