Leeds Festival

Post by Henrik's fan club » Mon Mar 19, 2007 2:52 pm

Anyone going? Rumoured headliners are a bit disappointing, razorlight (shit), Chillis (over rated) and Smashing Pumpkins ( ). I'll be going just to see Smashing Pumpkins and Arcade Fire (very strong rumour) and hopefully Rage Against the Machine (another rumour). More details on bands playing here www.leedsfestival.com Headliners announced at 18:45, tickets on sale at 7

Thinking about it. Depends on the line up. If the right rumours turn up (Nine Inch Nails, Smashing Pumpkins, RATM & Kasabian) then will try and get tickets.

Leeds Festival isn't what it used to be Branham Park's just too far from town for a start and the line up is getting weaker..

I lived in Leeds for 3 years & the name Branham Park meant nothing to me.

When I looked it up I realised why !!

It's nearer Wetherby & Tadcaster than Leeds & not much further away is York.

Why not call it the "in a field just of the A1(M) Festival" ???
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Yeah, but the "Leeds Festival" is a far, far sexier name than the "York Festival".

I'll be working the Reading festival again this year, so if anyone's going to that, pop over and say hello. I'll be working the entrance to the backstage/VIP area.

Probably be able to get you in too!

Saw them at Brixton Academy last week, pretty good but they were doing the whole "It's quiet in here, where is everyone" which is a bit stupid when half their songs are slow that mean everyone leans back and listens instead of going mental.

oooooh tempting. :pissed:

i didn't go to Leeds last year after 5 consecutive attendances.

i'm not really too fussed about festivals in England, there are lots across Europe that i'd much rather go to.

I went on a day to Leeds last year, saw the monkeys and Muse both awesome. It was the last day but I have to say the place fukin stunk!!! Depending on the line up I'm considering doing a day, or all of it not sure yet. Hoping that the fact glasto is on this year means tickets might be easier to come by......

I'd have thought that if Razorlight are a headline act then, unable to sell them, they'll be handing the feckers out like packets of sandwiches!

Yeah, the line-up is pretty disappointing (Gogol who?!) but hopefully it'll pick up.

I'm especially looking forward to Saturday on the nme stage though!

And I certainly wouldn't bottle a band....but Angels and Airwaves followed by Panic! At The Disco is EXTREMELY tempting....
