it's a love story between gay pilots and their navigators, it's not a war film.

Let's look at it...

beach volleyball scene: oiled up half naked men - as agay as it gets
Men with moustaches anmd mirror aviator sunglasses - they're already arraneg Village People auditions
"I feel the need, the need for speed" - Speed or Amphetmine Sulphate is a stimulant a slimmers drug popular in gayland
Goose - well we know what "goosing is"
White naval dress uniforms - as worn in Officer and a gentleman by well known Bollywood actress groper and gerbil botherer Richard Gere

There you go - clear evidence that Top Gun is just a big gayfest
power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely

kevin nolan is so fat, that when he sits around the house he sits around the house

I couldn't name 100 war films.

Some of my favourites are Full Metal Jacket, Kelly's Heroes and The Great Escape.

I've never seen Apocalypse Now or Platoon

One of my favourite films... I suppose the most evidence that it's a big shiny sequinned gayfest.

Plus also used as the basis as a video for Will Young's single Keep On. I rest your case m'lud.

Best part of the film was Berlin's theme song but I certainly wouldn't put it in a "war-film" class.

But to get it back on track, how about the Sound of Music? (I think the next thread will have to specify the war. )
