A nice cold bottle of Peroni for me but compared to draught lager can be very expensive so I don't partake too often.
A decent red or white wine with meals and relaxing at home. Cider does have it's place though, a hot summers afternoon and a few pints of strongbow is very nice, not that we've had much chance for that this year though!!!

I suppose I drink bitter more than anything, but I'm afraid it tends to be Adnams or Greene King when I'm down south. In terms of lager, I do like a Peroni or a Moretti... or the bavarian "helles" lager in the litre tankards (definitely not the Weissbier though, horrible stuff).
Quite partial to a nice bottle of Gavi di Gavi, though I'm no wine expert and couldn't explain why. I was a bit confused the other day when flicking through the channels and Jilly Goolding described a chardonnay as being "busty".
Glass of port or kummel for the first tee.
Not a cider fan at all.

I was in a Belgian restaurant on Wednesday evening where the waiter recommends what Belgian beer to have to best accompany whatever it is that you're eating. I was highly sceptical at first, but that was until I took a sip of the beer of someone that wasn't having the same food as me on that particular course, only to find that the beer that they thought tasted splendid with their meal actually tasted bloody awful to me with mine, and vice versa.

Several, fella. All different Belgian ones, the one's that the waiter recommended. Sorry not to be of help here, but the guy even recommended a perfect beer to accompny the coffee course. By enlarge they were monasterial beers, one of the ones that I had was over 9% abv, all served in the relevant glasses too. If you're ever on your way to Copenhagen let me know and I'll send you the details of the place. Also, everything on the menu has beer introduced to it at some part of the cooking process, usually in an accompanying sauce. Lush!jmjhb wrote: What beer did you have?

Did you let him in? Actually, thinking about it, I would've on the grounds that he'd turned up with a level of alcohol (albeit questionable) without being interested in the incumbent womenfolk!Batman wrote:Party is my excuse, everyone brought something with them, and one c*nt brought f ucking citrus lager
