AC/DC tour - Ticketmaster/GetMeIn
What a scam Ticketmaster are.
Login this morning, no chance on the phone lines so I'm trying the internet route.
No tickets available by the time I get through which wasn't that long, possibly 15 minutes after lines opened.
However, Ticketmaster provide a handy link to 'GetMeIn' (which is backed by them) where tickets are freely available starting at £148 (face value £40).
So is it just a case that they hoover up a large swathe of tickets for themselves, to then sell on at exhorbitant profit?

Had the same problem trying to get a ticket for the Ting-Tings in manc. The box office had a no returns policy, but the website had a link to a page where the tickets started at £65. They were seliing £22.50 face value. Thats at the very least a conflict of interests, and the cynic in me says its a way to make more money for them.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Last couple of "sold out" events I've managed to get tickets for, I nabbed within a week of the concert on e-bay. Genesis, I got for face value, the night before and Linkin Park, about a week prior to the concert for a small uplift oin face value.Verbal wrote:Kin hell. This...
How bloody dodgy is that?Check GET ME IN! for tickets you can't find.
Check out GET ME IN! a Ticketmaster company that provides fan-to-fan resale in a safe and guaranteed way.
Buy tickets for the hottest events from other fans on Europe's largest ticket marketplace.
So despite being only two tickets per person, by 10.15 this morning, RIP ME OFF! already has a slew of fan-to-fan tickets available at 300%+ mark up.
Disgusted.
Fan to fan my arse. Pretty much ebay MKII
It's a long shot fatshaft, but this website does work. Might need to check it later on (as in past xmas) though.

Ticketline do their job for me. Got Killers tix last week ok whilst all the others were crashing. Don't tell too many folk though
The online touting issue is ridiculous. As soon as Killers sold out they were going for ridiculous on ebay. People buying with the sole intention of selling on. Very frustrating

Were you queueing round the back of the Apollo?fatshaft wrote:Wish I'd known about them, guess as an oldie I'm out of touch.Marshall wrote:I wasn't in the fan club nor did I have a code.
Simply, I went on seetickets at 10am, bought them, and went back to bed
Mind you, I think it was a combination of fast internet and luck.
