Er, don't think so - unless it's brewed there under license. Carlsberg is the lager brewed in Northampton - more pints brewed there each day than in Denmark!

I live about eight miles from the brewery - bloody good tour!

Add Flat Cap and Old Slapper to that.

Then there's that Deuchars IPA that they sell in the Hulton Arms, and were selling in Ye Old Man & Scythe.

Further afield, I would select Marstons Pedigree and Robinsons.

And for those with a taste for Belgian ale, I have just been at the Brussels Beer Festival (highly recommended) trying such things as Delerium Tremens was recently elected "best beer in the world". Duvel is always a very drinkable strong beer.

Generally I drink Guinness because you can get it anywhere and it's delicious. But if I could find Dutch weissebier I would drink it every day. Same with Tuborg.

Did anyone ever try an old Ale call Abroad Cooper. It was a guest ale for some months up at the Flag a few years ago. Sadly though it would appear that it is no longer brewed. :(

Has to be Boddingtons. Got drunk in LA once with the Boddingtons rep for California. Only place in LA that sold it was on Sunset Boulevard. Pub called Cat and Fiddle.

Used to work in the Edge Tavern where they sold Chester's. I could drink that for ever. :drink:

Sadly Enfield the Manchester Boddingtons Brewery closed earlier this year, and now it is brewed in Wales., still a good pint, but a bit of a fraud.

Boddingtons is horrible, particularly the tinned stuff. I would rather drink crap like Fosters or Castelmaine, and I'm a bitter drinker.

Lost my last post

As I said

F***ing Hilarious CH

As an imbiber of that liquid refreshment named 'bitter' (thanks CH), I can honestly say it was better than the alternatives in LA at that time. Plus, as I was drinking with the Boddingtons rep for California, it was absolutely FREE! (which was nice..)

Perfan, the cherry in Preston was made by Leffe I think? may be wrong?

BoneShaker by Banktop was a good pint, but at the moment I'm liking Thwaites Mild.

Holts at Pepper Alley and the Brooklyn is a good pint aswell.

beg your pardon, having done some extensive research, by buying 4 cans, i can confirm it is Edinburgh, not Northampton

Ped's Danish Celebration for me, although apparently this is one beer the Danes don't mind seeing leave.

Yeah, the Millstone was knocked through onto Bank St to create Pepper Alley. :(

If I was anymore bitter, I'd be a City fan :P

One beer I really like is Ginger Marble. It's only served in a few pubs in Manchester, and tastes exactly like you'd imagine.

If only Enid Blighton's 'Famous Five' had drank this Ginger beer...
