labour leadership candidates....

Post by thebish » Wed Sep 01, 2010 10:11 am

use the VoteMatch tool to find out... then indicate in the poll...

http://www.votematch.org.uk/lab2010/index.php

(NB - NOT - which one would you vote for - but which one does VoteMatch place you closest to in terms of policy)

I came out Diane Abbott (surprise, surprise!) - though (if I was a member, which I'm not!) I wouldn't vote for her because 1. she's an irritating self-publicist, 2. she hasn't a cat-in-hell's chance of getting any of those policies implemented - it's easy to espouse populist policies when you know you will never have to make them happen (see Nick Clegg!) - so - dirty word compromise - I'd rather vote for someone who has 60% chance of one day implementing 40% of what I desire than vote for someone who has 0% chance of implementing 60% of what I desire.... for me it would be Ed.... (miliband, that is)

I agree with Ed Milliband apparently. I am now going off to contemplate what this means.

Edit: I've had a think and decided it's probably Balls.

David Milliband.

Cripes!

I want Ed though to be honest. He's the right type to lead Labour into oblivion. Good riddence.

Ed Balls for me 60% which im glad about becuase ive never heard of him but he has the funniest name.

my answers are all purely selfish though, ie. that would put the most work the construction industries way.

David Milliband n'all.

I would have thought Abbot would be the best bet for utter annihilation though.

It's worse for his sister, Orphelia :D

Ed Milliband for me apparently. Not a fan of any of them but I suppose David Milliband gives them the best chance of being re=elected seeing as he's another Blair, Cameron type clone.

I got;

David Miliband 73%
Ed Balls 70%
Ed Miliband 60%
Diane Abbott 21%

To be honest, I know little of any of them, so if one of you could be good enought to (honestly) break those figures down for me in terms of what the individuals stand for then I'd be truly obliged.

David Miliband stands for being staggeringly dense!

(he's the most Blairite of the four - the so-called "heir to Blair")

I refuse to vote in your poll on the grounds that you must be a BBC employee as that media organisation is the one which seems to be most obsessed with the bunch of donkeys named above. :D
