Help

Post by Hoboh » Thu Dec 16, 2010 6:59 am

Just what criteria is used to decide a person is "insane"? just wondering about this it strikes me as a little strange anyone can be "insane" when I'll bet no one knows what "sane" is. Whats the legal requirement for being insane? is it actually cast in stone or is it down to doctors opinions? Can you still be certified insane? If so is this like an NVQ certificate? Do insane people still have the same rights as well minded folk?
Help me please I'm going off my head with this

You have to do that thing where you walk along a line with your arms outstretched. If you can do it, then you're fine. If not - uh-oh.

I think that's being drunk. Maybe it's being insanely drunk.

If you do a "whoooaaaaoooo" it's 'being a ghost'.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I did a course on counselling once and the view of some psychiatrists etc is that we all have some failing mentally, this can be quite severe as in schizophrenia, psychotic problems or just mild cases as in feeling paranoid/depressed/anxious for a very short time, sorry no idea where the line is drawn between sane and insane but this view has us all as a bit insane at times

Although pretending to be a teapot probably puts you one the insane side of the line.
