Generally, there are no bargains with Apple products as they control the prices so rigidly. John Lewis is the best place to buy the iMac from as they offer 2yrs warranty rather than 1yr but I don't know if that holds true for the iPad as well.

Well Comet's just been sold off for £2, and that was for the entire company, so shirley you'd pick one up in there a couple of pence, tops, no?thebish wrote:they were going for free in Tottenham a couple of months ago...

A bloke I used to work with has bought both a MacBook and an iPod from the refurb apple store; reckoned both times they were brand new and not refurbed at all. I dunno if that's true or not but it's worth a look.

looking for some form of bargain .... then a store called the 'Electrical Clearance Store' has opened in Chester & I assume elsewhere. Dixons/Curry's sell their returns/exchanged goods etc there at considerable discount.
You take it as you find it.
They DO sell Tablet pc's including some i-pads.
Be cautious though & realise you get nowt for nowt.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Have you ever tried one of those cashback sites? topcashback.co.uk is great, have a look for some electrical retailers on there and see how much money you could get back just by buying via that site.

Make sure you get an iPad 2 and not 1.. Had the first one and the speed difference and lag is noticeable. I got my iPad 2 32gb for £350 off eBay. If your happy to have one second hand make sure you look for a US model.. A lot of people won't go near them but the only difference is the power plug
