Valentine's Day
Am I just an old romantic buying my Mrs a card, 24 roses and cooking her a Valentine's Day meal or have I got this all wrong and should it rather be "keep it mean, keep 'em keen"?

24 roses may be going overboard a bit... Don't make the rest of us look bad.Salford Trotter wrote:Am I just an old romantic buying my Mrs a card, 24 roses and cooking her a Valentine's Day meal or have I got this all wrong and should it rather be "keep it mean, keep 'em keen"?

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

We had a meal out last week as me and the gf won't be together for it tomorrow.
I've hidden a card under her bed though so there's at least something.

Re: Valentine's Day
My wife and I don't normally acknowledge the existence of 'Valentine's Day'. Today will be different as I am planning to have her walk to the local florist to buy a single yellow rose . . . for me.

Oh shit. Missus has gone away to see her parents, so I didn't bother with cards, flowers, chocs, that kind of thing, only to find she's hidden a card in the house for me (with text message clues as to where to find it)

Received a Happy Valentines text message from a former g/f. The way it's worded leads me to believe that I'm not its only recipient. Ooooh the romance

Retrospective action required ..... starting with the text "found yours, did you find mine before you left ?" or similar.
Still, you should be able to get a cheap one tomorrow.
