It won best British Film, just politics i think, a sort of jibe towards the Oscars for continually overlooking James Bond films.
Pathetic really, it beat Les Mis which was also up for the main best film award, but if James Bond is better - why wasnt it nominated for the top prize too....?

Tonight I expect I'll be watching something about the Pope.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

The 19th VIVA! festival of Spanish and Latin American movies has just announced its programme...

I shall be spending some time at the Cornerhouse next month.
[already posted on the 'where are you going?' thread... but thought that movie lovers and bobo might find something interesting here]...

I've done the research. You need a zoo licence and they need to be kept in groups of about 20 so it's a big ask!Bruce Rioja wrote:Penguins. I want one.
Also, you aren't allowed an Ocelot! Not fair.
Guess I'll just have to settle for a Zonkey.

I looked into getting a wallaby. Legal and not too expensive, but apparently a real hassle. Big gardens and high fences neededPrufrock wrote:I've done the research. You need a zoo licence and they need to be kept in groups of about 20 so it's a big ask!Bruce Rioja wrote:Penguins. I want one.
