You northerners can keep your rubbishy town centre Christmas trees. We went to see this last week, it's practically on our back door step. At 36m, tall its the biggest in the country.

I was at Cheshire Oaks on Tuesday and they have what they claim to be the country's tallest Christmas Tree. I enquired to the fellow by its door (yes, you can walk inside it) "In order to make such a claim, shouldn't it actally have to be a tree in the first place rather than simply a conical thing spported by aluminium struts and adorned with green synthetic fibres?"
