Friday is cholestral nightmare, tea-time. Fry up with bacon, two fried eggs, mushrooms, sliced tomatoes, beans and two fried bread. Add salt and pepper liberally and try manfully to ignore the inner voices.

I'm having some Pollock en-papillote (fish steamed in grease proof), with a spot of Rioja.
Getting myself set for a marathon day of football and rugby tommorow. I don't even like rugby, but I have to admit the pub buzzes when its on.

Two small fillet steaks, black pepper, quickly seared and rolled in the pan. Oven for 11 mins (medium rare), and served on a bed of lettuce, tomatoes, baby carrots and Philly cream cheese. Bread and butter for sandwich. Coronation Street. Sorted.

Re: What are you eating and drinking tonight?
Have done that in the past with lard or beef dripping, ( great for butter beans) but the wife's on cholestral patrol and uses cooking oil. She grills her bacon too, thus hers not being a true fry-up.jaffka wrote:cook your beans in the frying pan fat

We're at the Ashoka tonight at Bradshaw. Heard good reports about it and a couple not so good.

Had Goulash Soup to start, this evening. How come everyone can make this stuff to an exceptional standard(and on tonight's evidence even the bloody Dutch) except for me?
