And what does 'playing some rugby' actually mean anyway?

Michalak would do well to think about what it is about his own game that means he isn't picked to start for France.

In fairness, that's tactical I think. When he comes on he usually produces something and turns games round.

Fully agree, the French game plan involved using Michalak and Chabal as impact substitutes around the 60 min mark.

There is no doubting the genius of Michalak, albeit sometimes flawed. For me the moment of the world cup so far was his chip through for Vincent Clerc to score a try against the Irish.

All I'm saying is that there's a reason that he isn't picked to demonstrate his 'genius' for the full 80 mins.

Same as Ole Gunnar Solksjaer.

I see that Michalak has been selected to start the 3rd/4th place game.

With reference to Lionel Beauxis, he has hardly done much wrong to warrant being dropped.
