I live in Nantwich, which is nice to look at with lots of pubs and crumpet.

Within 5 miles is Crewe. Which is a piss-hole.

Bury's fantastic - from the new bit on The Rock to the best market in the north west. I don't enjoy shopping much, but I do in Bury.

Wouldn't have anything to do with a black-pudding stall by any chance?

Indeed, that entire area is without a single redeeming feature. I used to work in Smethwick - dreadful place. It wouldn't surprise me if the suicide rate in the Black Country is higher on average than everywhere else.

You could probably add about 40 suburbs of London into this list too. Aswell as some in other major cities.

Slough is a miserable place, in particular.

North Wales when you couldn't get a beer on a Sunday, not that I'm much keener on Wales now.
I very, very nearly ended up working in Whitehaven for 2 years beginning in July. Managed to get Carlisle in the end, but for a while I was very nervous.

Yet surrounded by some fantastic places.

Hounslow .... now THERE is a shit hole.

the town where I will be moving has a hotel - and a brown-sign advert proclaiming "the hotel that inspired the idea for Faulty Towers"

now... it's NOT the place where it was filmed - but presumably the place where the writer of Faulty Towers had such a shitty stay that he wrote the series...

would you really want that as your advert???
